olddodgeguy Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 My two B-1-C's have the angled bracket. Of course I had to remove mine to fit the Mopar 350 in the frame. Am doing a lot of frame boxing and bracing. Mike Quote
48Dodger Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 The B-1 frames don't have the angled bracket that reinforces the steering box between the front cross member and the box mount? The 48-49 B-1-B's have the bracket, but in reverse of my 1950, a "non-boxing" bracket. The 50 has a "boxing" bracket and a shorter steering box mount. The 48-49 has a spacer to put it deeper into the frame rail. 48D Quote
Merle Coggins Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Ahhh, now I see what you mean. Yes, my '50 creates a boxed section. in that spot. Merle Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Here are 2 pictures of my 1952 front bumper with repainted factory lower gusset brackets- One on each lower side of frame and bumper. Bob Quote
