Hawkeye Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 I started a blog for my ’48 Dodge business coupe restoration. Can be viewed at: http://48dodge.blogspot.com Hoping some of you guys will follow along and provide encouragement and advice as I go. Mark Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 Looks like a decent car to start with Mark. Do take lots of pictures and notes....likely to be helpful when re-assembling. Keep us posted as you progress. You have probably discovered the feature here to search previous posts on various topics. If no answer is located, just ask. Good luck in your restoration. Quote
TodFitch Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 Your garage is way too big and way to clean and uncluttered. Car looks like a good solid starting point. Should be a great project! By the way, you list two planned deviations from stock. The one on changing the color from black to a different color that was available is fine with the Plymouth Owners Club judging and, if I recall correctly, with the AACA judging. While the POC will deduct for carpet rather than rubber mat, I've seen AACA first place awarded Plymouths that had carpet. At least some of the AACA judges don't have enough knowledge of Chrysler products to catch that. Quote
Aussie D25 Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 looks like the same condition as mine, I am interested in following how you go as I also will be ramping up my efforts now we are out of winter and heading for the warmer months. Quote

busycoupe Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Good Luck! I also have a 48 D24 business coupe. Mine is currently a driver. It looks OK, but has a lot of old body rot that has been patched. Because of this, I do not plan to do a body off restoration the way you are. If I can help you with any questions, please ask. It will be interesting to see how your restoration progresses. Dave Quote
