Hey all.

Was curious if there was any mechanism for tracking the history of the vehicle.

Really have become attached to the old B1D and was curious as to its past history and owners etc..... Assumed there might be a way to do that via internet?

Thanks

That's a tough one. The only way I know is through your state's dept of motor vehicles. I tried to find out the history of my '55 Chevy back in 1994 and even then the records only went back to the previous owner, mainly because it had not been continuously registered.

If your truck has been registered its whole life, and if your state keeps records decades long, then you might have some luck.

The only other way is to do detective work ad ask who you bought it from, who they bought it from, etc...

Go to your local DMV office with your truck's VIN and plate # and let us know what they say.

The Chrysler Museum and Corp did provide a service at a cost inwhich they could provide for you the build sheet information regarding the mopars.

I was told it include who they truck was originally shipped to the dealer and the accessory items that were delivered witht he truck or car.

Do a search on the Museum and you might beable to find the link.

The build card will tell you what city/state the dealer that sold it was in. The cost is $25.00 for trucks.

I have some vehicle history that was given to me when I purchased a car. A previous owner requested the info from 3 or 4 states where the car had been registered before. In addition to the previous owners names and addresses, it also has social security numbers. Identity theft wasn't an issue back then.
