Reg Evans Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 That's a nice one but look out when it comes time for insurance and licensing. Very expensive here in CA. anyway because of the weight and the dump bed. I know cause I had a couple in my toy box years ago. Quote
pflaming Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 Drive it first and take a lot of corners. Some 10 years ago I found a nice 56 Chevy one ton, I took it for a drive. A LOT OF WORK TO DRIVE A TON"R. Would not be much FUN! Quote
wallytoo Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 A LOT OF WORK TO DRIVE A TON"R. Would not be much FUN! that's subjective. i happen to enjoy driving my 1.5-ton a lot. Quote
Flatie46 Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 I'd like to drive it down my driveway with a full load of gravel as I eased the bed up. Quote
NiftyFifty Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Little high priced no? I've seen just about as nice here go for alot less at farm auctions...$5000.00 should get you partially finished...not needing everything wear related. Quote

pflaming Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Wally, you are quite correct, it is subjective, what I am saying is, drive it and find out. Now load that truck with gravel, give me a hilly road and that to me is fun, to shift an old truck so that the engine always sounds the same from gear to gear is MUSIC!! Quote
