Ok, my radiator is crap. I took it and had it boiled out and it sprung a bunch of pinhole leaks when they pressurized it. There are probably lots of little pits inside. :)

I am not going to keep my flathead 6 but do want to drive it a while with that engine......but I'm about to run out of patience with it. What I would like to know is this. Is there a radiator that will fit in my stock radiator mount that will work with the 6 and that I can later use with the 318 that I will install? If not, what is the recommended path that I should take? I do not care if it looks stock and aluminum is fine with me.

Will a 49-51 Radiator fit?

Thanks

49-51 radiator is probably pretty close. Measure yours and get the measurements from the ebay seller that sells the aluminum radiators.

Why did they pressure test a radiator that is designed to operate unpressurized????

There was an aluminum radiator for these cars on e bay a while back, for about 220 bucks.

How else can you test it for leaks? After boiling it out, I wanted it tested because I was sort of expecting this outcome. He only put 10 psi on it.

I'm waiting on a call back from the ebay guy right now. He says it's good for 650HP. That will cover me. :D

Thanks.
