Man that is a nice car. I have had several convertibles over the years. I prefer them. Give you a good option while driving.

Wonder what if will finally go for, I see no reserve?

Another way to look at the engine bay, is that it is complete. Heater duct looks in tack. A good cleaning, some paint maybe, and done.

When I bought my 4 door I was lucky enough to have some spending money to buy it, wish I would have walked up on a convertible instead. But I am happy with what I have now.

Hope it goes high.

this is only my opinion..the car is low side of good but above fair condition at best...prime example of everything needing done..maybe a driver but only good in precious few areas...chrome, missing bent and pitted is enough to set you back..a pair of bumper does not brite trim make..I would hate to see the floor based on the trunk and underhood..what is hidden? and further there are no undercarriage shots..prime consideration for anyone entertaining a convertible..no working radio, horn, power top..list goes on..about every pictures hows major work needed..grant you it is not top money bid at the moment and there is no reserve so this speaks well that the seller realizes the work that will be needed to bring this car up to speed and except for no undercarriage pictures may be trying his best to properly portray the car....any more money though and one could easily be over the top for money in verse money realized in a future sell..

True, but with all that said, it would be a great driver. Work on it as you go.

I have yet to read on here where anyone bought a car and just let it be. Would not be a hobby then.

I could probably count on my left hand anyone who has sold thier car for profit also.

Looks like fun, but also looks like a can of worms to me... The body has a buckle at the drivers rear fender, the front fenders have been filled/shaved, and the rear fenders have the wrong stainless trim. Leads me to think the rest of the car is cobbled together from various bits and pieces...

Isn't that the truth. It's a good thing many of us get enjoyment out of these cars because unless it's a woodie or a muscle car with a numbers matching Hemi it is not a good financial investment.

I bet those are replacement fenders from a 51-52 and they left the stainless in place. Possibly done way back before resto and the restorer didnt know any better.

Should be some stainless trim on the front fenders.........

Looks like the trim mounting holes have been filled.

More than filling the holes.... '50 front fenders have a ledge that the stainless trim covers. The fenders are three pieces, and the bottom half of the fender sticks out past the top half by about 1/4" or so. There's probably that much mud plastered over the ledge on the vert.

:D

For that current price its still a steal.

Endless possibilities.

Somebody buy it for me and give me a year to play with it.

But,,, I would like it to be a 51/52

After thinking more,, it is alot of work,,,lol

It IS a nice looking car.......and the average person would likely not

know anything about it's shortcomings that we're talking about.

If you took it to a show or cruise as-is, I bet you'd get lots of

good comments.

But to make it more correct as many would prefer, there are a few

problems that will take both time and money to fix.

Then you wonder what other negative things are there and not

showing in the photos.
