Wow!! There are some truly beautiful, expensive, and coveted cars there. Why would anyone let such treasures deteriorate. At least they will be going to new owners who will restore or preserve them. For some reason, I love the T&C sedans. That would be my choice if I had recently won the lottery.

I had a friend, now dead, who was born and raised in Arkansas as was his father. His father worked for Chrysler in a factory, I believe, in the Ozarks of Arkansas building woody bodies. He retired after they closed the plant down. He built the last woody body in that plant for Chrysler. Mena is in the lower portion of the Ozarks almost on the Oklahoma border. Fall is beautiful there when all the trees turn. The people up there milled their own lumber and built their own homes using Hickory for studs and joists, Walnut for flooring. My friend Howard used to go home to Arkansas to see his folks and always bring back a pick up load of green hardwood planks to dry. He had a fantastic wood working shop and learned the wood working trade from his Dad, wood working was his hobby as he worked for Big Blue "IBM", which stands for I been Moved down here.

That is one great collection. I just brought home a 1949 Dodge 4 door, looks like a 48 type. It was in NC being driven around the guys property 11 years. Dirty and sun baked, but solid.............

Donald Rook in Mena owned those cars for many years.

I guess he finally decided to sell.

And from the article I take it there are more vehicles

there, maybe not as nice as the first ones.
