greg g Posted March 29, 2010 Author Report Posted March 29, 2010 I believe it is a 36/7 Studebaker dictator coupe. With a 217.8 cu in 90 HP 6 cylinder. The dictator name was chosen to signify that it would be the dictator of style and engineering for the low priced car market. Scroll down to the pictures for 36 and 37. The bat wing windows were very distinctive. I would think that the designers would have been flattered to have been compared to Delehaye and P -A http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/Studebaker/ Quote
moparbenny Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 it could also be a 36-7 President couple...and have the 250 eight Quote
40plyrod Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Great picture and a neat looking car. Some nice old pictures on the link greg attached too. Quote

John Reddie Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 It is a Studebaker for sure. No mistaking that rear window which if I am not mistaken, could be opened on some models. Great photo. Keep em coming. John R Quote
