52 Chrysler racing pics

I have been looking for some racing pics---either shots of them racing or in the pits---engine bays--racing teams---1/4 mile or circle track---looking to continue a theme with my engine bay. I have hunted on the web and I don`t find much for 52:confused:.........Thanks

I googled Richard Petty and while I didn't snoop too much I didn't see any photos of engine bays. You might try to find someone who drove Mopar back then and see what they have to offer.

Lee I saw a great series of books on the early days of nascar. Tons of pictures and indepth descriptions. It was at 1/2 priced books near northtown mall but even used was too expensive for me.

There is some stuff of racing on the beach at Daytona in 52 and there are some Chryslers running, but no close ups. There is also a video of the 52 Michigan state fair race which was won by a chryler.

Try a search for Kiekieffer in nascar. He was the outboard motor guy who ran a two car team of Chryslers in the early to mid 50's.

Thanks---I did the welding the holes shut, putty work and base paint----my pinstripe buddy did the checker board and logo`s---I too wish I had half the talent of some of the guys----glad they are willing to share...........Lee
