Mustang6147
I have many questions on this. As with everything, there is a level of fabrication involved. It is the unknown that worries me. (LOL) My 41, has a 49 truck 230 flathead in it. (No difference between the original and this engine to my knowledge as far as mouting). Will I have to re do my rear engine mounts? Or is this for the most part a bolt in item. Here is why I ask. I have access to a full machine shop/chassis shop Lift and everything. They build race cars. If I start this job at home, and it is to much. It will be a bear to move it. BUt I can just start it there, and finish it there. However, I would rather do it hat home if I can....

You will have to make some frame mounts--the adapter has holes drilled across the bottom to fab your new engine mount---pic of what I made. You may have to trim some of the adapter depending on the room you have......Lee
Young Ed
I wonder how that would work the trucks don't have a crossmember supported bellhousing. The bellhousing bolts on the side to the frame mounts.

The bellhousing bolts on the side to the frame mounts. Don`t see why it wouldn`t work---build your frame mount to match the one on the adapter. I built a frame to cradle the engine in the stock position--that kept the pinion angle correct and worked with the adapter engine mount to the frame mounts.
