Thanks for posting. I would like the suburban as it looks like it might make a decent project. I believe the first picture is a '39 Chrysler (possibly Desoto) which would be interesting but it looks a bit too far gone. It has certainly sat a while judging by the tree growth through the windshield. What a great place to wander around. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 24, 2010 Author Report Posted January 24, 2010 the wagon is complete car...it is for sale but in my opinion at to high a price..it is odd as some cars they sell are good avg. price others are over the top..if a car is complete it will not be used as parts but ear marked for a restorable project..they are doing a good job at making these cars and parts available..It was so wet in the back side that they were not escorting folks there that day..I will get back there as I have requested a couple parts at a very fair price...time will tell... JerseyHarold Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Tim, What are they asking for the '52 wagon? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 24, 2010 Author Report Posted January 24, 2010 I asked, he replied 5800.00 I personally think that quite high....being a 51 it did not have nor was retrofitted with an OD either..the rear bumber had been drilled and a trailer ball bolted to it..another waste, repairable but makes you think what the man had in his mind doing the initial install. I have about 4-5 pictures of the wagon.. Quote
JerseyHarold Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 That is pretty expensive, especially considering it would need a complete going-over. I've seen running/driving examples for far less. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Tim Adams, just when I got over the loss of the 1939 Chrysler you show a pic of a 1939 coupe ( with a tree growing up though it) I would love to have one those in a street rod. WOW, it looks like I could bring that puppy back. When you saw it was it hurt bad? I could most likely get a frame. I have a 440 laying around doing nothing and ......let me stop kidding myself:mad: Tim stop showing temptation like that:rolleyes: I just can't take it. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Tim what did they want for the 1939 coupe? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 24, 2010 Author Report Posted January 24, 2010 I did not ask...with the tree huggers about you would have to remove it wouth damge to the tree including scraping the bark...(just kidding..I have no clue) I did not really inspect the car...I stumbled upon this yard quite by accident as i went to look at yet another item in the general vicinity Quote
