RobertKB Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Beyond ugly but some one out there may love it and buy it.........someone doing a rat rod likely. Quote
jd52cranbrook Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Used for modern day chariot racing,,, Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Gee, if the spinner was a little more pointy it would look like one of those chariot wheels that tears the other guys wheel up. Awwwwww... jd beat me to it. Quote
JerseyHarold Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 That wheelcover went from 'Forward Look' to 'Backward Look' Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 That appears to be one of those aftermarket 55 Olds style spinners you could buy in a Western Auto store in the 50s. They came with three screws and a paper template to use in mounting them to whatever wheel cover you wanted. I attached some to a 1957 Ford wheel cover back in about 1960....didn't look too bad because the Ford cap dished in, not out like that 55 Plym cap shown. Then I painted over the circle containing "Ford" lettering with gold. Looked pretty good on our family's 1960 Chevy station wagon. Of course, the spinner was nice shiny chrome when new. Quote
