Well, its been over a year since I have signed into the forum or have worked on my 42 Dodge. I just got "MARY" back from R/Car fabrications here in Connecticut and Bob did a great job! He fixed the outter and inner rockers, sections of the floors and wheel wells as well as the front cowl areas. I must say that I am very happy with his work. As soon as I got her home I pulled the body from the frame and took the rearend off. I still have to remove the front suspension. I am going to have the frame sand blasted, as well as the rearend, and anything else that wont fit in my blast cabinet at home. I already rebuilt the engine and tranny and they are ready to be installed. I will post some pics as soon as I can. I'm just glad that I have another 42 Dodge parts car in my back yard so that I can figure out how to put the car back together!!!! There is still a massive amount of work left to do, but I am very excited about getting back into this car!!

Welcome back to the forum. Sounds like you have an interesting car there and the project will definitely keep you busy. Sounds like you are basically doing everything I did to my '38 Chrysler and it was certainly worth the time and effort to do the body off work.

Hi Glenn,

Glad your car is back home now and progress is being made again.

Any chance of us continuing on with the 42 Dodge front bumper thing ?

Thanks,

Reg

Hi Reg, I had a feeling I was going to be hearing from you again.....haha. As for the extra front bumper, right now I am going to hold off on selling it, just kind of nervous I might need another one in the future. However, when I decide to sell, its yours if you still want it at that time. Sorry for the confusion on my part.

Glenn
