Flatie46 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 The rocker trim for my 46 business coupe seems to be hard to find for me. I haven't seen a jack but I'm not real sure what the one for my car is suppose to look like. I got lucky on the clock my parts car had one. I do like going to junkyards and such on these treasure hunts, but the rare stuff is usually gone. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Just a couple thoughts about the turn signal indicator combined with the high beam indicator light. 1. If you could use a laser to cut the arrow openings, it might work. Then you'd have to make the socket setup to go behind it, as well as a colored lense for the opening. 2. Simply drill a small hole in each side of the bezel.....make socket and lenses. Not original, of course, but would probably work. Quote
michael.warshaw Posted January 19, 2010 Author Report Posted January 19, 2010 how much is the turn signal indicator worth? Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 are you speaking as a seller or a buyer...as a seller it is only worth anyone is willing to pay...ddepending on the part, scndition, location, location location plus someone having an actual need is factored in.. best thing to do is ask what it would be worth to you if you are in need..of course a seller will always thinkit is worth more than a buyer... michael.warshaw Posted January 19, 2010 Author Report Posted January 19, 2010 Ha anyone seen the mopar jiffy jets being sold recetly either one bay i think the seller wants 300? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 The Jiffy Jet windshield washer item is still available, on occasion, but not that many of them floating around. They are a kind of neat accessory, but a good one seems to bring a fair amount of money. There is some way, I think, to look up past ebay sales on specific things to see what they went for. But I don't really know how to do it. There are certain sellers who nowadays charge pretty high starting prices for the old parts. Sometimes you can wait patiently to see if a different seller offers one for less money. But that is kind of a pain.....since no one can know when the next one will be offered. Quote
Jim Yergin Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Ha anyone seen the mopar jiffy jets being sold recetly either one bay i think the seller wants 300? Michael, I bought an NOS complete set-up for my '41 for $75 on eBay two years ago. Jim Yergin Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 (edited) unless it is for points at a show..that is even too much...items of this nature fall more into the vanity line in my opinion as the "edge" at shows etc etc..going to sound a lot like Norm here but even if in my hand..would not install on any of my cars...just looks old, tacky and antiquated in operation.. for the record..last swap meet I saw one NIB with 80.00 posted on it... Flatie46 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 I just went and checked, one of my parts cars has the turn signal indicator in it! I had never even noticed it or knew they were rare. The chrome is dull on it though but that can be fixed. An excelent end to a ho hum day. Quote

michael.warshaw Posted January 19, 2010 Author Report Posted January 19, 2010 how much could you pick up the signal indicator item? Quote
maurice wade Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Wow, never thought much about my original turn signals in the car I now have until I read how rare they are. I remember taking my drivers test in my first P-15. I had to leave the window down and use my arm. It was a cold November day, and the driver examiner didn't much like it. Quote
