Dan Babb Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 I called Roberts and he only has the driver side bracket in stock. May not have the other side until the end of the year. Anyone have a set of tail light brackets on a parts truck they can sell me....or any idea on what other places I can call to try to find something that will look correct on the truck? Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Go here. Several types available. http://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/pdf/parts/06electrical.pdf Quote
Merle Coggins Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 That's where I got mine. I got P/N's 06:1194604 and 06:1194605 on page 32 (4th down in the center column). My truck only had a left side rear light, but the bracket was identical to those, except it was bent some. Two new brackets and it looks perfect. I believe all Roberts has is the long cast stalk type bracket that is used on stake bed trucks and earler models. Merle Quote
Young Ed Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Merle I suspect you are right because someone on the 39-47 groups was just complaining about him not having any rights until the new year also. Quote
Dan Babb Posted November 3, 2009 Author Report Posted November 3, 2009 Thanks for the Vintage Power Wagon link...they have the matching pass side bracket and lights needed. Quote
Dan Babb Posted November 4, 2009 Author Report Posted November 4, 2009 I was just looking at the wiring diagram and noticed that it only shows one tail lamp. I then looked at the rear passenger side at the vertical rail near the tailgate and the holes that are in that rail aren't threaded. So, these trucks only came with one tail lamp? Do you guys keep yours like that or do you add the extra tail lamp on the passenger side? Quote

I personally have never seen an "original" right side bracket. What I ended up doing was taking a left side and re bending it into a mirror image and using it for the right side. Since my truck is still being restored I never checked to see if the holes were tapped for the right side. I'll have to check that out this weekend. With today's traffic being so congested and bad I would definitely install a right side tail light. Brad Quote
Dan Babb Posted November 4, 2009 Author Report Posted November 4, 2009 I ordered the setup needed from Power Wagons. They have a left side bracket in the catalog. Quote
