We had a car show in my town on Saturday, blocked off a few streets, took over the parking lots, had food and wine tents the whole deal. Organized by a local bunch of customizers called Old School Kustoms.

The ad said Greasy Kennys Burn out and Car show.. The biggest bunch to show up was a group called the Frankensteiners. Art expressed in cars and on the people. People watching as well as a car show and art show, all rolled into one. The group has a web site with all of their members cars...

I was most impressed with their front ends and their creative use of parts such as hub caps made into air cleaners, or machine gun bulletts to wrap the cowell. They are just the opposite of street rods or restored vehicles. No paint... patina is a color. Loved the use of sickle blades as a decoration.

So I took pictures of nothing but front ends. So sorry about the next 20 pictures, they were interesting to me..

The custom shop put on a demonstration of cutting the top off of a 50 Cheve club coupe and then were going to replace the top with a hard top.

Showing off for the crowd, I didn't stick around to see if they made it fit but no doubt they would have.

Don I saw that same vehicle at a different car show. The radiator is plumbed into the bed along with a bunch of elec fans. The water pump and alternator are in the bed also.

It appears there is a belt driven alternator on the lower drivers side front of the engine. I can understand a electric motor driven water pump but an electric driven alternator falls under the catagory of perpetual motion machine and is not possible.

May Dennis remembers better what was back there. Perhaps the water pump was not elec but belt driven and what I saw was an elec motor to spin it?

No I didn't look. I was so facinated by the front ends that I never looked for the details. There were two of them without radiators and I just assumed they didn't go very far.

Back at the Mopars in the Park, there was a Pilothouse with a super charger mounted in the bed of the truck. There was a mechanical linkage to a shaft that ran to the bed. Someone asked the owner why he did it that way and his answer was..... Because I could
