Tony WestOZ Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Thought you guy`s might like this. Pic is from an Australian Chrysler club magazine. 1940 Australian built Dodge ute. Caravan was built by ute owner. Quote
Normspeed Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Beautiful Ute. And a 5th wheel setup for the trailer! Amazing. See, that's why I have so many posts. This forum never ceases to amaze. Quote
John Burke Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Tony, I would donate my left gonad to science for a Ute like that...John Burke Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 John, I'd volunteer your other one for a duplicate Ute for myself...sorry...sounded like a good deal to me.. I have not be able to yet convinced the Royal Australian Air Force that for all my assistance I have provided on their equipment that a Ute delived to my house would be truly appreciated. Quote
wldavis3 Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Tony, That is a very sharp set-up, however, I am not so sure that I would pay the same price for it that John would pay!! Quote
RobertKB Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 John, I think it would have to be the right one, not the left. The UTE is right hand drive after all. Your comment left me in stitches I laughed so hard! Quote
Lee Exline Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 Or you could go for the 40 Plymouth version? Or th 39 Plymouth Quote
Tony WestOZ Posted January 28, 2007 Author Report Posted January 28, 2007 I don`t have a problem if he wants my right gonad! It doesn`t work. The left one NO. Lee do you know if these are car based or truck based utes. Quote
Lee Exline Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 The two 1939 Plymouths are car based but only one is a ute! I wish I had more pictures of the other one but I do not it is a three window coupe. another OZ built special made by T.J. Richards as you can see it uses the same rrof line as the UTE. There is another 1939 UTE still in OZ and still for sale http://home.aanet.com.au/finnedmopar/1939ply.html As you can barely see in this photo the tailgate is missing and would need to be fabricated. This picture shows that it is a P7U (Utility) and the T.J. Richards serial tag I don't know what the testicle market is like where you guys live but when I checked they would not pay me near enough to cover the cost of the car let alone shipping. Maybe I should put them on Ebay (should I sell them as a set or one at a time ?) Quote
Reg Evans Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 A complete set usually bring more than one at a time unless they have road rash or are rusty. Quote
