So for curiosity, thought I'd check to see if my daily driver would be eligible for the Cash for Clunkers rebate. Requirement: Car needs to get EPA rating 18 mpg or less.

My car: EPA rating 19 mpg! C'mon! I swear the thing actually only gets 15 mpg in real life... sigh...One stinkin' mile, one mile!

Oh well, looks like I'll be driving this one to the ground as planned, just hope it lasts me long enough!

Your C-45 has an EPA rating? :D

My old 86 Bronco is listed as a Gross Polluter vehicle in CA. Never failed a smog check though. Gets 13 mpg in OD on a good day.

I guess I could turn in the old rag and get a nice new mini SUV or something. But then again, maybe I'll keep her.

Norm could you bear to see the old rig go to the junkyard? No resale is allowed on the traded in cars.

That would be a real shame. Guess I'll just have to keep the old wreck. Just kidding really, the longer I own the Bronco, the more impressed I am at the ruggedness and durability of it. And it's all paid fer.

Lol, I wish the C-45 got that good of gas mileage! Seems like I get 12-14 mpg since I'm filling up so often. (Don't actually know for sure, as I need to find the loose wire on my fuel gauge.)

It was funny though, everyone in my family was eying my beater wondering if I was going to trade it in. Next car I get will be a green car though. A lil' four cylinder called the "Metropolitan!" :D

9 of em! Its like a retirement community for old Mets! The one thing I'm excited about getting a Met, is the fact there is a company that had a catalog that has in stock every single part for the car, NOS and reproduction! Life will be soooooooooo much easier!

Adam, there is a fenced field near me where I counted 9 of those little rascals baking in the sun.

The guy that I bought my Plymouth from is building one of those, with his son, for his grandaughter, it will have an extended frame and a blown Chevy engine.

They are building it so she can drive it next year for her last year of high school.;)

Dennis:cool:

Her's one that I've seen at a few car shows around here.

I wonder how they'd figure the epa rating on the 51 plymouth I thought about trading in. Are there rules for how much of it is left? Does it have to arrive under its own power?
