greg g
This pic pretty much explains "Lake Effect" that we get hear abouts and some other places. First significant snow of the winter. Thanks to arctic air and warm lakes.

RobertKB
We've had a pretty decent winter so far in southern Alberta (two provinces west of Rockwood Fred in Manitoba). Been real cold a couple of times but did not last. Had some snow but not a lot. Starting to snow again right now but around the freezing mark. I had my old '48 Dodge out a week and a half ago as ground was snow-free and it wasn't cold. Spring will soon be here and the miles will start going on the old girls again! 52B3B108
The snow started last night for us here in central Iowa. We probably have at least 6 inches on the ground and it's still coming down in fine flakes. The plow has been by but I've got all day before I consider going out to fire up the snowblower. The temperature isn't too bad, there is a wisp of a breeze and the sun is shining through the clouds. It's actually a very pretty day. 1just4don
This 6" plus the 10 we got last week, and making for tough conditions outside feeding the 'cows' oops my 'black' "girlfriends". They are very appreciative of what they 'get'. Altho there 'long faces' hide it well!! Got stuck in the middle of the yard with a 4WD trying to get the 1000 gallon water trailer outa here!!(gotta water those girls every other day or so)(before this snow).. Did I forget to say,,,"I HATE SNOW",,,it covers too much of the girlfriends food supply!! And makes for slippery footing, for ME and my tractors!! GRRR! You can keep mine. Those Noman Rockwell paintings are what its made for!!!
55 Fargo
Was a beautiful sunny day here in Southern Manitoba, it went up to about 28, was sunny and quite nice, its about 29 right now and the sun is going down, looks like a red sky going down. Had the old Chrys out on the driveway today, let her run about 1/2 hour, then I heated up the garage to 55, and went to welding in rockers on the drivers side, will do some more tonight...............Fred
