Bob_Koch Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 The Clements BBQ was most wonderful. An enjoyable time for all. A link to all the pictures is on the DPETCA site: http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/gallery/v/clements_2009/ Quote
Jim Shepard Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Great shots, Bob. I agree - a good time was had by all. I look forward to next year and even more trucks... Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Lots of fun ! Thanks everyone. Here are a few more shots. This first shot is proof of what is apparently the most popular dodge truck color ever. Jim Shepherd calls it Butt Ugly Yellow At the far end of the lineup you'll notice the soon to be " WORLDS FASTEST PILOTHOUSE" being built by and soon to be driven by Tim Monroe Estrada this coming September. Here's a birds eye view of some of the trucks lined up late in the day. Thanks for holding the ladder Jim. And lastly a shot of some of the wives that allow us silly old men this hobby. L to R are Charlie's wife with the red and white hemi powered truck Marcia sp?, My wife Lisa, and The wife of the Panel truck owner. Sorry....didn't get her name. Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Looks like all in attendance had a great time. Sorry I missed it. I did not see any pictures of Tim or his race car, or shop, or any of his other projects, or the FOOD!? Who are the muddy cuties on the 4 wheeler in the last picture? Quote
Jim Shepard Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Now, Reg... As I explained at the BBQ, I wasn't referring to your truck with my "butt-ugly" comment. I was referring to the first truck in that string - the one with the black low-side box. For thde benefit of those not privy to our conversation (and my apparently feeble and unsuccessful attempt at an apology), I thought the black color on the low-side box against the cab color accentuated the size difference and magnified the pilot-house style way out of proportion. My opinion is that the high-side box nicely balances out the very tall cab design of these trucks. So there... Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 I know Jim.....I was just funnin with ya one more time. I'm done now. Quote
48Dodger Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 (edited) The BBQ was a Blast! I had a great time. I appreciate the kindness of everyone and the of course the good food. lol. I had so much fun, I can't imagine not doing this again next year. Meanwhile.....my daugther Karissa, her friends and new BBQ friends went out on the ATV's and found a big vernal pool to get the bikes stuck in. After pulling themselves out, the 5 girls got into a BIG mud fight. They were quite proud of themselves, giving a short parade of the aftermath. That's my kid...in the green shirt. "World's Fastest Pilothouse"????? lol. Gonna do what I can, as fast as I can. Anyone wanna go??? 9/16-9/19/2009 Edited June 22, 2009 by 48dodger Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Don, The food was great! Bob Koch was the chef. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, two fruit salads, brownies and more. Tim was there of course but he was all over the place and I guess didn't hold still long enough to be in a photo. The muddy cuties were Tim's daughter and her friend. Here's photographic proof that Tim really was there. That's his arm on the left margin of this photo. Quote
48Dodger Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Hey Don.....sorry you couldn't make it. Here's some shop pics for you. No food pics, but trust me, it was good. lol. How I burn stuff together. My Reg Evans "starter kit" My son practiced plasma cutting and tig welding with a 53 fender. The colorful hand is my daughters handy work. She got an "A" on it in art class. Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 And where is the picture of the alledged chef Bob Koch? Quote
Jim Shepard Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I know Jim.....I was just funnin with ya one more time. I'm done now. That's alright. I guess I did make a few more comments about yellow and low-side beds at the BBQ... Quote
Young Ed Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 When you tired of that odd ball single cap just drop it in the mail to me. Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Speaking of hub caps. Someone had 3 for sale at the BBQ and I forgot to ask who was selling and how much. Anybody know who ? Quote
msjenkins Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I had a set of 4 (still have). Their dirty but in pretty good shape. If you're still interested, let me know and I can send you some pics. Quote
b2bomber Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Hey Bob, sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Too bad we could not make it but spring fling took precedents. All I ask for next year is that it is not held the same weekend as spring fling so Mark and I can make it out there. Thanks Sean P.s That shop is amazing. But next time more pics of the food. Quote
