Dean Parker Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Ok, I have a new but small problem now. Still working on my 1948 Dodge 4-door sedan and started to replace the Instrument dash light bulbs with new ones as well as trying to get everything in order and working correctly, when I noticed that there are two turn signal wires with light sockets and bulbs attached to them just hanging there, and they work just fine when I turn on the directional arm on the steering column. Ok so what's the problem?? The wires and sockets just hang under the dash and for the life of me I can not find out where they belong! Is there a lens that they plug into or what? How or where do you view the Turn Signal dash Lights ? Am I missing a part? Thanks Dean Quote
dezeldoc Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 should be a hole in one or two of the gauges for them. put a drop light behind the dash and look from the front and you should be able to see the green light up then follow it. Quote
Young Ed Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 They should go on each side of the high beam indicator Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 The light sockets plug into a bracket with hole for the sockets on either end and has a hole in the middle and a slight bent inward of each wing about 22 degrees...this bracket then mounts between the speedo and dash and held in place by the high beem indicator threaded lamp holder..each of the trun indicator lamps has a shield over the bulb with a small peep hole at the tip for the light to shine through...
