Young Ed Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 I'm really after a 62 but I do like the 63-64s too. This one is for sale here locally. He didnt have any luck selling it at the car shows this summer and it just didnt sell on ebay at 1500 reserve not met. Quote
T.Tom Meshingear Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 That's actually David Oreck's car. It's a red convertible with a white top. I see it parked at their corporate offices on a semi regular basis and see Dave driving around town. I will try to get some pix the next time I see it. It's a certifiable show car. Tom Quote
1just4don Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Are you saying that he couldnt sell this car for even $1500. It says $4200 in the windsheild. It also says 'Must sell' what ever that really means!! Any body know what motor tranny combo is in this car?? Wasnt this one of those push button on the dash models?? Still for sale?? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 My neighbor had one of them..umpteen buttons and slides on an all chrome dash..beautiful.. Quote
Young Ed Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Are you talking about the white one I posted? I bet its still for sale. The auction just ended like 2 days ago. I believe it was a 383 with a push button auto. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Noticed this ad today in a senior citizen local newspaper. I have a problem with the bowling ball TV ad Oreck use to have. The one where he picks up a bowling ball with the vacuum and holds it over his head. Was at the State Fair where Oreck people had a booth. They had the bowling ball there and picked it up off the floor. However, when I ask the woman to hold it over her head like on TV she refused. So.........told her I couldn't buy it if I couldn't see if that worked since I may want to do it someday. Really wasn't going to buy the thing anyway, just wanted to see if she would do it. Wife hates it when I do things like that. Quote
1just4don Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Yes I did mean the white one pictured. What year is that? Looked like a 4 door hardtop,,,was I lookin right?? I can almost read the phone number on the windsheild but I dont think it had an area code, anybody know it? Does the inside look as good as the outside? THX fer any info ---don-- Quote

Young Ed Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 The ebay auction is still available. I think the issue with it is at some point the front clip was repainted and it looks to be ever so slightly a different shade. I never noticed it in person but you can see it in the auction pictures. Keep us updated if you try to buy and I can certainly go look-its local for me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=004&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=140070316422&rd=1,1 Quote
