brian hood Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Check this picture out!!! My daughter and son came home from school (they ride to school with their grandmother), and were very excited about an old car they found on the side of the road. I thought it might have been some silly clunker or something. Imagine my surprise to see this gem beside the road. I don't know if it is for sale or not, but it almost looks abandoned. I hope some roving group of teens don't destroy it before I ask about it. I will post let you know the outcome. Quote
brian hood Posted February 10, 2009 Author Report Posted February 10, 2009 I went by there this morning and it is gone. If I had gotten it, I would have need a good attorney (divorce LOL). Therefore, I decided to leave without knocking on their door. Quote
pflaming Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Brian, Brian, you must be under the age of 45 or you would know that forgiveness is easier to get then permisssion. That car was interesting would like to know the story on it. Quote
Hounddog Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 I turn 30 in april and my son tells me im old all the time. Good news is my girl turns 30 36 days before I do so I get to give her a good ribbing for a little over a month! Quote
Jim Yergin Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 I bet that the car is someone's project and they took it out for a test drive. It stopped running and they had to go home to get things to fix it and then drove it home or had it towed. "Been there, done that." Jim Yergin Quote
Young Ed Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 It sure does look like something thats being worked on. I bet Jim is right. Done the same thing a few times myself. The very first time I drove my plymouth I ended up removing the big piece of the floor so I could shift into reverse! Quote
Normspeed Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I think Jim nailed it. The car doesn't have the look of a for sale car. Like you guys, my first real test drive got me about 10 miles to the east on the 10 freeway, and when I exited to go back home it overheated and stalled. Had to sit there for an hour or so before I could sweet talk it into getting me home. Quote
