Yahoo, I just got word that they accepted my car into the L A Roadster Show. I am not telling anyone but I kinda got in through the back door. Seems like the club I belong to is going to have a club display at the show. We get to take 6 cars in for the display. Our cars won't be judged, thank god for that, but we will be rubbing shoulders with the best. Tony C

Did you have to chop off the roof?

Great show. This year will be the first time in about 15 years that I'll miss it. Best swap meet too.

2007 was the 50th anniversary of the club that puts it on. Second day of the show, a friend of mine let me drive his 32 in.

Hey Rodney, The club is Inland Mopars, it is the biggest Mopar club in the Inland Empire. They have a yearly car show at The California School For The Deaf. This will be the third year, that they raffle off a car, for the school. I only joined them last year, and I am very happy with the club. We will manning the souvenir boothes for the roadster show, and we make money for the club. Tony C

Frankie, I never miss a chance to put up photos.

Here it is, as it looked before the V8 and after. First photo was at Santa Anita Racetrack. The show, put on by Cal-Rods, took place in the infield of the track, while horse races were going on. A great day. Open headers and burnouts were prohibited so as not to scare the horses. Hooters girls abounded.

The rest of the photos were at the Antique Nationals in Pomona last year. As you can see, Tony's car has developed an attitude. His car does not smoke, that's a reflection off my windshield. He even passed me in staging!

And there is a shot of the man himself moving through the staging lanes. The only time my car was ahead of his all day:p. Note his bullwhip hanging within easy reach. He uses it to thrash arrogant Chebys AND fURDS.

Then a shot of our rides in the pit area, and holy smokes, there's our pit boss, head wrench and number one tool monkey. Grandadeo!

Yeah Lee, You are right ,it is this week end. I don't know Billy Gibbons, but tell him I will be working at one of the souvenir boothes. Saturday afternoon. Tony C

Hey guys, just a point of clarification. It's the Grand National Roadster show, formerly held in Oakland then San Fran. Moved to Pomona 4 or 5 years ago. Not to be confused with the LA Roadster's Show and Swap Meet held on Father's Day weekend in June and put on by the LA Roadsters car club.

Tony - unfortunately Billy Gibbons is not a personal friend. But I'm sure you do know him. Belongs to a little old band out of TX. Plays a mean electric guitar, has a really long beard and loves hot rods. Still, if you see him tell him Lee said hi.

Thanks, Normspeed:D :D I went through your posts tony, I see you don't post pics any better than I do...lol!

The only way I've gotten it is to pick a picture, put the pointer on it, right click, scroll my options to save picture as.

Then save picture. It goes to my photo gallery and is saved. Then when you post, go to manage attachments clickleft, browse, choose pic, open pic, left click upload and submit post.

I'm sure there is a simpler way, but this works for me.

Well Ed, That is a long story. I had the rear rims made thinking I was going to put baby moons all around on the car. I had the rims powder coated, then realixed that the baby moons wouldn't fit on the front stock rims. Tim Adams gave me a deal on the stock hub caps, that I couldn't refuse, I didn't even think of what year they were, they just looked good. End of story. Tony C
