BobT-47P15 Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 ......fan belt for a 1941 Plymouth???? The pulley on the 41 is larger diameter than a 46-48 model. Quote
TodFitch Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 I am using a Goodyear Hi-Miler 22494 on my 1933 (which I believe uses the same belt as yours). See: http://www.ply33.com/Parts/group7#600793 If you take the old one in to a decent hardware store, they should be able to match you up. Of course good hardware stores are being put out of business by the big box "home centers", so you might have a bit of a search for a decent store. Quote
Andydodge Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 I just replaced mine with a Dayco belt, 15A1255.......trust this helps, andyd Quote
Jim Saraceno Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 Bob... Actually, I believe it is... "How Long is a Chinese name?":D Quote
Frank Elder Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 My great uncle Ralph used to ask questions of me that were brain teasers, as you can tell he caused permanent damage. He would say to me, How Long is a Chinaman. I would give him all kind of heights and lengths and he would just smile and shake his head ever so slightly, and reply no, that is not the answer. Finally he answered me with, Yes he is, and left me to stew about that for some time. It took sometime but I finally figured it out, he wasn't asking me anything rather he was telling me that How Long was indeed, from China! Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 8, 2008 Author Report Posted December 8, 2008 Well, the person needing the belt finally found an old fan belt, cut it, ran it around the pulleys and then marked where it came together. The needed belt was 51 1/2 inches long. Narrow width for the narrow pulley grooves. Quote
