Heater Plumbing

The heater hose from the water pump should go to LOWER heater core, correct? After 14 years, I'm installing the heater back in the truck. 24 degrees this morning.

Dan

I am not sure that it matters much, but I have the hose from the block going to the top of the heater and the hose to the return coolant to the water pump on the lower pipe from the heater.

Have the top from the heater going to the pump. That way you can burp air out.

The vintage, period correct, after market Hadees heater I have in my 1933 has a bleed valve at the top of the heater to get the air out. I guess not all heaters have that.
