Don Coatney Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Today Jim invited me to attend the local Northern Virginia woody club annual brunch. I accepted his invitation and had a terrific time. I met several (local to this area) woody owners of all makes mostly Ford. What I did not know is that Jim is the President of this club. My congratulations to him! Had a great smorgasbord (sorry but several smorgas trees were eliminated to make this feast) breakfast. Several woodies were present but I (like the fool that I am) forget to take my camera. Thanks Jim for some great hospitality! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 its ok to eat the smorgas trees if you saved seed for planting... Quote
Don Coatney Posted October 20, 2008 Author Report Posted October 20, 2008 Smorgas trees at a woody convention. Hum, (Mister obvious chimes in here) I never made the connection:D Quote
Allan Faust Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Had a great smorgasbord (sorry but several smorgas trees were eliminated to make this feast) breakfast. Is that like a nauga hunt..... to get some naugahyde?? Allan Quote
Jim Yergin Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Don, As always it was great to see you again. For the record I am the secretary of our local woodie club chapter not the president. Sorry that Rodney could not join us. Looking forward to your return trip in December when I hopefully will have my car back on the road and we can go for a drive. To anyone on this forum who lives in an area that Don visits, I urge you to take the opportunity to meet this truly nice gentleman in person. Jim Yergin Quote
Young Ed Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 I'll second that even though Don didn't come to me I had to meet him 1/2 way Quote
