55 Fargo Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 Hey Bob, I like it, nice gifts. My wife and kids got me a new floor creeper, a work stool, with wheels and a place to put some tools on it. I ordered myself and early Christmas present, about a month ago it hasn,t arrived yet, it's a 33 gallon upright Craftsman Compressor, supposed to be here Jan03, can hardly wait, Sears even reduced the price by $40.00 for the long wait, it's coming from the Devibliss plant in the USA..........Fred Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 26, 2006 Author Report Posted December 26, 2006 Fred, sounds like some very useful items. I imagine you will have fun with that compressor when it arrives. Seems as if Sears treated you good, as well. Hope everyone else received some automotive goodies also. Quote
Robin (UK) Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 I got a great book, titled 'The Cobra In The Barn'. Fascinating true descriptions about discoveries of classic and rare cars in barns and unusual places. Also treated myself to a reproduction Hamilton Ventura wristwatch... Happy New Year to everyone on the Forum. Robin. Quote

1just4don Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 Nice presents, trade your for my 'pillows' Your probably much more aware of this than I was,,,when you install those halogen bulbs,,,dont ever,,,ever,,,touch them with your bare hands,,on or off.. Yes they are hot but the point is the bulbs will not last long with body oils on them,,,wear new cotton gloves or use a clean new cloth ONLY for touching them in ANY way!! IF they have this on directions,,,ITS not BIG enough type!!! or mentioned enough!! Have fun with your new toys, - just don-- Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 27, 2006 Author Report Posted December 27, 2006 Thanks for that info Don. I've never had any halogen lights before and was not aware of that fact. Will try to follow your advice. Quote
Robin (UK) Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Robin,What a cool watch Robin!!! Where did you get it? Also treated myself to a reproduction Hamilton Ventura wristwatch Bob Bob, I got my watch over the internet, from a dealer in Germany. It's an older reproduction, because I wanted chrome casing, rather than stainless steel (it also has the small winder knob). Stainless versions are available and other face styles, due to the design's use in the Men In Black movies. In the USA, the real expert is a guy called Rene Rondeau, in California. Hope you are enjoying your watch as much as I am enjoying mine. Happy New Year. Robin. Quote
