Plymouthy Adams Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 if you use the standard Bosch style relay..it has NO and NC contacts that function very well with hi and lo beam single relay... Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Bob, I'm still looking for a 6 volt relay for the horns that Don gave me I can't figure out where the wires come or go. I am working on my 66 charger right now however w hen I'm done I will get back on my 1940 horn:D I need it bad! Bob can you show me a pic of a 6volt relay for a horn or is the pic in your first post an example. Quote
Young Ed Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Rodney does the 40 have dual horns? The older cars with a single horn dont use a relay. Of course you still can but not necessary. My truck doesnt have a relay. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 23, 2008 Author Report Posted August 23, 2008 Rodney.....the first post is what the relay looks like, at least for a P15, and also where it is located on the horn bracket. If you go to ebay and put in something like plymouth horn relay or 1940 plymouth horn relay, what is available will come up. Quote

I am temped to se a chevy horn Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 23, 2008 Author Report Posted August 23, 2008 I wonder if you could just use one of your pair..... I don't know if there would be any difference in that and a single horn from some other vehicle. Quote
Young Ed Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 A single horn makes a different sound then the duals. My horns were acting up for a while(bad ground at the bracket) and if only 1 of the 2 works it sounds pathetic. Quote

Your red Charger looks good. Left your place and went to downtown DC. Drove by George's place on Pennsylvania Avenue but it appeared he was not home either. So you must have been taking him for a ride in your red hot Baker. I did spot a cream colored P-15 coupe heading north on the DC outerbelt as I was heading south. Quote
