I also posted this on the parts page..not sure when it will appear..I found a difference between dividers on the windshields with beltline as opposed to those that don't have belt line molding..so am in need of a divider for use with bletline molding....application...1951/1952 Plymouth

Did not someone here just get a parts car...?

thanks

Tim. I have a 52 parts car with the winshield still in it. I'm not sure what you want. If I have it you are welcome to it. I live 30 mi. S of Lou. Call me at 912-288-0096. Or let Lou know what you want as I will probably see him Wed. night. I am the one who rebuilt the engine that Lou got for Brian. James C.

While on the topic of windshield dividers.....

Did non-Cranbrook 1951-52 Plymouths (in other words, the models without stainless trim around the windshield) have divider bars painted to match the body color, or were they black to blend into the rubber?

JerseyHarold...the two Ihave here are non-chromed..one is squared at the bottom as it has the belt line molding..still no window stainelss...my wagon did not have the belt line so the center divider has a curved end that covers the rubber...thisis also unpainted but it sure is a prettyone and I just this eveing did a test buff and it will shine like chrome when polished and clear coated...

I need the outer divider piece..it will be easily recognized as having a cured top and a squared bottom...

Harold,

My Cambridge has the windshield divider that is the color

of the car body. It has rubber showing on the top and

outsides and stainless trim over rubber on the bottom.

Um, you sure you wanted to post that on this forum? I mean, I'm including NORML in one of my books just to stir the pot a little, and while obtaining their permission to use their name (they'll preview whatever I say about them, and that's fine with me) I never saw a forum on their site.

Geez, dude, I have a friend who's DEA and while I've spoken to him about it, it isn't often a topic if discussion because I wouldn't want to put him on any spot. (He has a realistic view of it, if anyone cares.)

You planning a trip (no pun) to Colorado in the near future? I knew a farmer who took his piggies to market inside an inflated spare tire; that way he could be assured no aromas were being emitted. You carry a spare tire? Two? Wanna screw with any DEA agents who might read this forum? Got room for ten clean spares?

Looks like the cheaper ones have a painted center bar. Here's mine and another car I saved a pic of off of craigslist. And if I understand Tim correctly neither of these are correct for his car.

Ed..both of your pictured cars is the correct piece as the beltline trim is on both cars...the beltline is the lower stainless that crosses below the windwhield..in absence of this, the lower portion of the divider is longer and cures over the rubber similar to that of the top of the divider. I feel that by looking that cutting one would do the trick..but then I am not 100% on that either...

Both my cars (Cambridge and Concord) are painted black from the factory, so they have black divider bars. Looks like they match the body color if other than black. I never paid much attention, and most of the cars I've seen lately are either Cranbrooks (chrome bar) or repainted.

quick note here...the divider has been found and the parts are stamped P23 for use with the beltline molding and P22 for the one that does not have the molding...both of mine are painted versions..and the actual piece as cast can be cut to fit if needed but not on the cast seam or it will be too short..there is about 3/16 inch difference
