  1. They are for sale on sale right now for 299.00 regularly, 350.00. They come in bare steel or painted. RK
  2. I know this is not vintage but it is vintage looking, done by Dwayne Vance, auto artist from so-Cal.
  3. So should it be called Black "EYE" Friday? Since every year we hear and read about the fist fights over merchandise. I avoid going out on Friday anywhere near a retail store. Enjoy your holiday!
  4. That is my goal and hope the guy on the other end can measure it well. Richard
  5. Ok that is just too cool. A hunting lodge on wheels. I'd rent it for the weekend. Richard
  6. Have an even better turkey day and take your truck out for a ride!
  7. Parade that baby daily if you can! Don't hide it from the public. Richard
  8. I am discovering that there are similar parts used from the express truck as well. I think it is model B-1-D-126 if I have the model info right. They used the same rear backing plates, hub, and drums. If I could get pics of someones express truck brakes, it would be helpful. I also sent an email to the powerwagen guys as they had pictures of nos hubs they just got in from a huge warehouse purchase of dodge parts. May have found some drums in vegas and florida but waiting for info back. Thanks, Richard
  9. Hey guys anyone have any drums for sale? My Route van has rear drums that are 80 over, not sure if I can safely go 100 over on these. Thanks, Richard
  10. Hey guys need some input on the brake drums. My front drums have been boiled and mic’d…one is 40 over and the other is 60 over. Guys at the machine shop seem to think re-surfacing them to 60 and 80 is OK…What do you think? On the rears they are both 80 over and would need to be done at 100 over….is this kosher or should I try to find new/old drums to replace them? Any tips on where to go to find some? Thanks, Richard Here is a pic of my rear drum:

  15. Ok, will check into honing, am soaking the wheel cylinders right now before I take them apart. Took oil pump off today to open it up and clean it up, any tips on priming it for engine start? I seem to remember using a thick grease packed into the gears to get a good suction going on start up. Any feedback on using a electronic ignition system in place of the points and condensor? Petronix I think is the one I am considering. Should I also replace the coil since it is from 1950? I am sticking to 6 volt system unless others think 12 volt is better. Getting head refinished and using new head bolts. Thanks!
  16. Pulled the front brake drums off this week and will be removing brake cylinders to check on condition. If not pitted has anyone honed them and reused their cylinders?
  17. I agree with Mike, pin striping can often ruin how she looks.
  18. I did not see a grill....am I missing something? I did see a rearend.....
  19. Better yet try to visit him with your project picture album if you have one. Lying around in a hospital is the pits. Too bad he is not closer to the bay area. Richard
  20. I guess all I can say is that was a creative way to use old license plates. I gather it can haul a car, just hope it gets there without a breakdown. He he, Richard
