  1. Welcome !
  2. Door handles done. Tapped new threads 10-24. and added a nylon lined nut to each. Very solid feel. Taping to prevent scratching the paint has worked well.
  3. This was a lot more involved than I thought, and looks. But done, and looks great!
  4. Fuel gauge sending unit in place.
  5. Last night, one easy task, gas filler neck. Also one more detailed, wiring blocks. Wiring break down chart from RI Wiring came with my harness. Invaluable in helping as is has the color and gage. Unlike the diagram. Both came in handy.
  6. Excellent Dan Again , thank you for checking this. ?
  7. These center trim / hinge bolts are listed in the parts book as the same part #. It appears that one has elongated bolt holes. Are these for adjustment purposes? If so, does that one mount in front, or back on the cowl? Or no difference as the book shows after all ??
  8. Hi Frank, Back in the late 80s I sent my original harness to Rhode Island Wiring and they made me a new one. I stored it with the car. Then installed the engine section last year to start the engine after rebuild. Some color fade for sure, and dust from the body work, but working fine. Ill be testing all wires as I build the dash, and before I finish interior. I plan to feed extra runs of wires to all covered interior and trunk areas just in case. Thank you for taking a close look, I appreciate a 2nd and more sets of eyes here. ???
  9. New hood cowl welting.
  10. Took some time off, but back at it today.
  11. Thank for the help guys. I'll look for the inner fender spring location next. ?
  12. welcome !
  13. Big help guys. thank you both. Great pix! The other end of the spring attaches to the fender?
  14. Thank you Dan !
  15. Help please on this assembly item. I have searched the forum on this with no success. Would one of you D24 owners PLEASE take some photos of the hood latches, showing how they attach to the fender? I need orientation of the latches and close up of the bolts. Do the latched sit on OR under the fender flange? Thank you all Clay
  16. Thanks guys, yes keeping 6v. Have read lots about grounding here, and am making sure to sand to metal at screw or bolt contacts. I've added some braided straps too. Keep the tips coming!
  17. Park / signal housings installed. Repainted the inside with reflective paint. NOS wires in surprisingly great shape. Waiting on correct LED bulbs.
  18. Front fender trim , headlight rings , horns this weekend.
  19. On the pedal shaft there should be this tear drop shaped ring with a hole to hook the spring to.
  20. More time in the garage today.
  21. Working on the easy items first. Cut rubber pads for the tail lights. Some of the "Cupped" washers I had original. Others are actually a Harley Davidson part.
  22. Thanks guys. Took mine apart in the mid 80's. Hard to see in photos.
  23. Which is correct orientation for my trim? The high ridge on top, as shown here, or bottom ?
  24. Greg, I had the local paint store color match the " Panama Sand " from the D24 color chart. Old chart, probably faded lighter or darker but I am extremely happy with it. Close enough for Govmint work!
