  1. Hey gang anyone know where a guy can get some of these bumper bolts I need 8 of them for the ribbed bumpers the bolts have a curved head so it fits the rib in the bumper........... Any help would be great I even settle for used ones if they are in good shape
  2. Hey no problem as you can see the frame in the back ground is sitting at stock hight
  3. I think I leave the engine in the stock Volare spot and move firewall section back. If you move engine forward you still going to run into clearance problems with either pan. Car pan is shaped to clear steering and truck pan is a rear sump and will be in the way of the steering, Also truck pan is abit deeper to hold more oil as well . It seems to me to be more work having the motor forward. than it,s worth . just my 2 cents
  4. Mopar.... came out of a 1980 dodge van
  5. here are the pics of the hump and inside firewall
  6. the rad is out of a 79 dodge 3/4 ton with a 360 and I will send you pics of the inside asap
  7. Here is a pic of my engine compartment with motor in right location for the volare clip.... As you can see there is no room to run a fan on the motor< I have 2 push fans on the front side of the rad keeps it very cool. So If you move your motor forward you will have to also move the rad forward as well which may be more work and money for you . The last pic is to show the firewall section that I moved back . hope this shed a bit more light for you
  8. Ron I sent you pics of the 2 I have ....... Oh Maybe you didn,t know I was on this site as well .............. Barry
  9. Merle you can use one from a CJ-YJ-TJ jeep they are side mount as well like the one on my truck
  10. the pic of the steering joint I just posted show the frame also Boxed in
  11. Reg's looks good... but I wonder if the look will be as good on a high side box
  12. wow almost looks just like mine .... when you put steering back in Flaming river makes a UNI steering joint to go from steering box to DD steering shaft
  13. Hi Bob those twin rails are for a dodge Warlock or Lil Red But I think they would look good on a pilothouse
  14. you will most likely be putting a notch in the top frame rail for the steering box I had to on mine then I boxed the frame in ........ It,s comin along nicely:)
  15. I stopped in and said hello and got no reply from anyone but the chat room kept flashing ????? must have had a glitch ????
  16. I also had to set my firewall back so the my 360 would fit in .... I had to set it back 3 inches

  19. Huh Get this both bumper are the same they are 2 fronts and the one on the front of my truck has been cut and tweeked to fit the front of the truck all hiddin behind the lic plate
  20. I have the rear done whats your input do I keep it full length or cut on black line ???
  21. I cut the bumper in half and added 1 5/8 of steel to the center section then made a lic plate bracket to the front side of the bumper. I will be making a bridge bar to fit the bumper that will go around the Lic plate to finish off the bumper
  22. This is my first shot at a bumper refit..... My truck had this bumper on it when I got the truck . It is ok but just doesn,t go with the theme of the truck I think So I did a refit with this 49 plymouth Bumper.. Had to cut in Half and stretch it to fit truck I will also be putting a bridge bar in around the Lic Plate to finish it off
  23. Thats Great Tom I can Just see you now with a grin form ear to ear
  24. Hey Tom If you go with a 2 core ask about the cores that are close together. It will hold just about as much water as a regular 3 core. I have one in my 50 plymouth and It keeps the V8 cool. 300 buck is about the going price
