Copper core honeycomb = $$$$$$. I found a guy in Missouri who redid his and decided to go V/8. $120.00 delivered to So. Cal. door step. Craigslist I was very lucky. Had bids to redo original one for $1200.00.

There is a oem tank on Ebay. Posted a few days ago. I had my oem tank cleaned out and reused it.

Thanks for the info. My father bought this D24 new when he graduated college. Been in the family ever since. Sat for 35 years. Dad passed last year so I'm going to bring her back to life. Got it running with my son. Eng. ran on a IV bottle OK but I chose to have the eng. rebuilt. Doing up a wire harness now and gathering parts to make it road worthy. Would like to give to my son when he graduates college in 2 years.

I bought a complete eng. with all the Fenton parts on it. Intake,headers & cly. head. The parts will go on my newly rebuilt original 230. It came with the linkage and Bbs carbs. looked like it ran rich. Can we get smaller jets for these carbs ?

Any one ever use the Carter BBS for dual carb setup ? Have a matched pair thinking about using on my new eng.

Just a baseball fan. Son pitchs on a college team. I played and coached in So. Cal. So I lean to the Angels. They sucked the first month. Cost them the playoffs. But look what the A's have done 13 games made up at the end of the season. I would hate to face them right know. A's v/s SF OR Nationals.

Just got a running 230 with good fluid drive trans. It came with Fenton intake, exhaust & Fenton head for 1/2 the price of that cyl. head will sell for. Delivered no less. Dont forget to check Craigslist for parts.

So.Cal. cost, same drive line for my 47. bored 60,new valves & springs, balanced,cam reground, new h20 dist. tube,new head bolts, etc.etc. $2700.00 last month.

Picked up my Eng. today. What carbs. to use on a 230 with fluid drive ? 1947 D24. Will have headers. Was just wondering what people have done as the stromberg has the dash pot on it. Do both carbs. need the dash pot ? What is recommended.

My ride is complete as my late father bought it new. All parts are there. I just needed the balancer as it was damaged from oil saturation. I hab my son go pick up the 3/8 pulley for the crank and h20 pump just in case I co 12 volt with the wire upgrade.

It does have the narrow pulley I removed it, truck had an alternator on it. I might return and see if it is still there or send my son over. Doing the rewire now and have not made up my mind on the 6-12 change.
