  6. Well nobody went to bat for me, had to call them 6 times to get a response. Looks like full coverage dont mean squat!...beware !. There explanation was they thought I was lying, and its all old damage.   7. 49 got vandalized . Had it insured through State Farm with full coverage and they denied my claim. Even with before picts and previous owner testimony they wont fix a thing. Been with them 32 years...not anymore!. So now my resto got put back even farther. Before... After...( Lots more damage than I can post, but you get the just of it).

  11. Ok, I have a stromberg carb I need to rebuild.(BXVD-3) It looks like mine has a governor on it??. It looks like they put a 1950 engine in my 3/4 ton 49 truck. Is it better to just rebuild this one or get a different one?. Any advice as to what else I can put on this 218 engine or is this one with a govenor prefered?. sorry, clueless in this matter.

  17. 1949 PH floor shifter. I am putting on an aftermarked shifter knob and dont know the thread size. Tried search function and didnt get anything?. thanks.
  18. Hook it up to the proper voltage battery, 12 or 6 (red wire to positive, green or black to neg.) get 2 same voltage bulbs. Touch the bulb end with one of the remaining wires , pull switch down or up an see if the bulb lites up. Same with the other wire(s). If you have a VOM, you can also use that instead of the bulbs. (set to DC voltage). PS. you possibly will have to ground the side of the bulb metal to a ground (neg post on batt?, metal dash?.)
