  10. This is why we have no cheap spare parts like we did back in the day. Hell, I look on line every day for parts and there's hardly anything. Back in the late 70's when I had my 53 Chevy 1/2 ton, we has 8 different junk yards to pic thru, not one, survives today. side note...Have a friend who worked for a car crusher company, he said after Studebaker closed, he was crushing brand new car/ truck parts, Fenders, Hoods excetra ,still in the wrap..GRRRR!
  11. Thanks for all your input.
  12. Hello all, was wondering what type of ,and octane of, gas do you put in these older engines?. Do you buy the lead suppliments/ octane boosters?. Will modern gas destroy the valves/ carb gaskets?. thanks.

  18. Hello all, I am a noob to Dodge trucks and this forum. I have had 53-55 chevy trucks in my past but this truck was calling my name. It is pretty much rust free, having a frame off restoration in the 90's. Engine was rebuilt. It is a 1 ton dual rear wheels, I have never seen this before with the regular stepside bed ?.Does anyone know where I can get rear fenders and running boards , tailgate for this?. thanks.
