  1. I still had the clips. Just the rubber grommets were gone. It's in and working, which is a huge time saver, as I'm planning on taking the truck on a 2000km trip next week.
  2. That makes sense. What I did was cut up some plastic tubing plugs (stuff that goes over the tube ends of a new car part like an ac condensor) as it slipped over the hex's and was the right size for the inside of the arm linkage. Worked beauty!
  3. OK. I scored a motor, and rtested it. Works great. 20 bucks! Now what I find wierd, is that when I took mine off, I noticed the linkage arms have a round hole, that seems to fit really sloppy on a brass hex nut that is bushed on the motor. I figured something used to be there, and it rotted, or broke away over the years. BUT, when I found this working one, it was exactly the same?! wth? is there anything that goes on the hex wiper pivots at the motor, between them and the round hole in the the arms? Thanks
  4. Awesome diagram, but mine is infact vacuum. Good news is I found a working one for 20 bucks. I have a question on it too though. I'll start a new thread.
  5. Another.... It's 23/32 thick. It made it much easier to install than the 3/4. I must have got the paint to thick on the box.
  6. It's good one side fir, with a cherry stain, and some out door clear finish to protect it.
  7. Hi guys. Does anyone have one? I got mine apart and dropped a couple of pieces. I'm sure I got them all, but not 100% on the reassembly order. This is a 49 if it makes a differece. Thanks!
  8. It's 5" channel The channeel is bolted to the frame. The through bolts for the cv suspension go theough the channel at the front and the original frame at the rear. I'll see if I can get a width measurement. I may have it up on a hoist this weekend. I got the Windshields in yesterday!
  9. Im amazed at how bad the mileage can be in these old flathead motors. I would have thought there relatively small displacement, and lack of power would have yielded much better economy.
  10. Ha HA! I still need to mix the final episode. There might be two left, Still don't have glass, or ebrake, brakelight switch, etc. So close, but still a bunch to do.
  11. Under it's own power! First time in a long time.
  12. I live in Canada too, dude. I've wired it up with a resistor. The switch is as little sketchy, but it works most of the time...lol I don't think it needs to be too robust, as the truck will obviously not be driven in the winter
  13. Hi guys Wondering what you are using for a blower/heater fan motor in your trucks, if you are running a 12 volt system. Just the straight 12? or a resistor, or what? I ran mine on 12 to see if it would work, and it sure pumps. Not sure how long it would live, is my concern. Thanks!
  14. Mine. 49 fargo b1b. I should have glass this week. I had it running on the weekend. BB mopar. Can't wait to drive it.
  15. Thanks guys. And Yes it makes me want to drive it. Big time. End of the month, I figure.
  16. Still needs a driveshaft and some exhaust but we are getting somewhere.
  17. My tank has some varnish and rust stains in it. I was thinking of using paint thinner, but thought I'd ask what some of you guys had done. I'm hoping to run the truck this weekend. It'll be out of a Gas can, but it'll run.
  18. No problem. It was a ford guy who turned me onto this. He puts them in a lot of old ford trucks pics You can see the parts I added at the rear, so the control arm would have a spot at the rear to bolt up
  19. Dude, what year/model of truck is that?
