  1. well that's what i am trying to figure out is if it is just a matter of a bad pulley or if i need a new/rebuilt damper.
  2. well part of the problem is my crank pulley doesn't look like a damper but just a regular pulley with timing marks so that has me a little confused, also i heard from a friend that it's possible that i don't have a damper but the motor is balenced with a weighted flywheel, anyone know for sure?
  3. i just can't get her timed and tuned right, and with the wobble on the crank pulley it's hard to get a reading on where it's at or needs to be with the timing light and i can't really tune using a vacuum gauge cause the only vacuum line i have is the vac advance, i try to tune it by ear but that's not quite working, and today when i was trying to set the timing i moved the distributor too much and snapped off the copper line for the vacuum advance and now i gotta replace that
  4. well i know with my car i can't trust the marking on the pulley and with as much as it wobbles i can't get a decent reading with a timing light anyway so if this vac-timing works out i am curious to try that instead.
  5. Hey, i am new to this site since you were gone, i love the work you have done, verry clean and pro looking.
  6. i might be way off but it almost looks like an old school straight line tool, kinda like the chalk lines contractors use these days.
  7. pooooor car car was gorgeous
  8. my first thought would be clutch or possibly u-joints
  9. i am going to do that Ipod single speaker idea, that's just what i needed
  10. yeah he wanted close to $300 if i remember correctly
  11. are you kidding me? lol i aint going anywhere
  12. well it's whatever cam factory on my p-24 so i am thinking it's a damper that just needs fresh rubber. the only problem is everyplace wants a arm and a leg to re-build it.
  13. i am just bummed i didn't get to post-rapture loot
  14. Awesome info, this looks like just what i needed, now i just need to pick up or borrow a vac gauge and get this done.
  15. as much as i might hate to admit it i live in the "IE" even though i was born and raised in Sillicon Valley haha, do you know where about in the IE his shop is?
  16. well from watching the motor idle it looks like the damper has a wobble to it
  17. i am not 100% sure the markings on the crank pulley are accurate and i was wondering if anyone knows how to get it set up right?
  18. well it looks like worst case i might need to fab some up
  19. well i guess lucky for me i have a 4 door haha
  20. i am not sure how skirts will look on my 53 but does anyone have pictures or possibly some for sale?

  22. absolutely beautiful car! i love the custom work and i built my 3" blocks out of 1/4" thick steel..actually the first thing i ever welded and they came out great.
  23. reminds me of when i saved my 53 from a feild there was a snake wrapped around my oil bath
  24. i love the mustang, i want either a 67 fastback or a 69 428 Cobra Jet or a 70 Boss 302, and that truck has a ton of potential
  25. i bought a "replacement" fuel pump that had the glass bowl but that pump kept messing up on me so i ended up slapping on one with out the bowl and just added a glass filter inline so i can see what my fuel looks like and if i am getting fuel, but since i converted my car to 12v i will most likely put on a electric pump and just block off the spot where my stock one sits.
