  10. found this 45 on craigslist about an hour south of me yesterday. Runs and drives, and the dump bed works! needs new tires. gotta start looking !
  11. I bet the solution you used in freeing the engine just needs to burn off. I unstuck a 36 Chevy engine this summer and it took about 3 hours of running to get it to clear up.. Also, Copper lines are the way to go. They dont even sell steel lines at the parts stores here anymore (carquest and auto value). so much easier to work with.
  12. car quest and auto value around here can match paint if you have a sample (glove box door?), and put it in a aerosol can. costs about 20 bucks.
  13. thanks everyone for the responses! Been looking at it closer and it looks like corrosion from water sitting in it forever. the metal is very thin on the bottom....anyway I will be taking the intake/exhaust off my old 201 to use on this.
  14. howdy.... I bought a rebuilt engine off craigslist a few weeks ago. Guy said it ran and was rebuilt not too long ago. everything is fresh on the engine. has good compression. Tried starting it tonight and it was not starting.. just a few pops here and there. good spark, however when i put my hand over the carb, i felt no vaccum at all when trying to start. so i took it off and this is what i saw...(pic) any idea what may have caused this? i can see the heat riser flapping when i move it... so i am assuming i need to start looking for a new intake manifold/exhaust??
  15. sorry, not painting it building in background is an old folks apartment building. saw my buddy and just randomly stopped and never realized how cool the building was! Pflaming- yeah, get a hold of me when you are around. im about 6 miles northeast of hancock in mason! thanks for the comments !!

  18. Found this beauty today and rescued it from the scrap heap!! got it home, changed the points and coil, and poured some gas in, and it fired right up!! PO said it had been sitting for about 10 years. the tires were sunk in the ground about 8 inches. i thought the tires were all flat but they were full!! It was a local lumber company delivery truck. enjoy!
