  3. my 1950 Desoto- 3" lowering blocks in back, and 1.5 wrap of coils cut off front.
  4. A guy i know about an hour south had this really sweet cabover in his compound. I knew he had it for a few years now. Made a deal wednesday and today went and retreived it ! Has the original invoice and title !! Needs tons of work but im super happy!!! heres a few pictures of the adventure..
  5. loaded the bed with a 27 Chevy doodlebug just because......
  6. it was an old motel sign! Got the footing done and it installed a few years ago......Hoping to put my logo on it this summer and get the foundation done for it.... https://www.facebook.com/masoncitymotors/
  7. Well, got it off the trailer, did some monkeying and got it running. heres a pic off the trailer and a video of it running. Video - https://youtu.be/skVM2wrUytU
  8. hood ornament is in the glove box ! in good shape !
  9. found this 45 on craigslist about an hour south of me yesterday. Runs and drives, and the dump bed works! needs new tires. gotta start looking !
  10. I bet the solution you used in freeing the engine just needs to burn off. I unstuck a 36 Chevy engine this summer and it took about 3 hours of running to get it to clear up.. Also, Copper lines are the way to go. They dont even sell steel lines at the parts stores here anymore (carquest and auto value). so much easier to work with.
  11. car quest and auto value around here can match paint if you have a sample (glove box door?), and put it in a aerosol can. costs about 20 bucks.
  12. thanks everyone for the responses! Been looking at it closer and it looks like corrosion from water sitting in it forever. the metal is very thin on the bottom....anyway I will be taking the intake/exhaust off my old 201 to use on this.
  13. howdy.... I bought a rebuilt engine off craigslist a few weeks ago. Guy said it ran and was rebuilt not too long ago. everything is fresh on the engine. has good compression. Tried starting it tonight and it was not starting.. just a few pops here and there. good spark, however when i put my hand over the carb, i felt no vaccum at all when trying to start. so i took it off and this is what i saw...(pic) any idea what may have caused this? i can see the heat riser flapping when i move it... so i am assuming i need to start looking for a new intake manifold/exhaust??
