  1. Is this meet worth going to? I have never been, but I am thinking about flying out for the day just to see all the plymouths. Thx Greg
  2. Here's my office. You'll notice that nice new paint job, that was paid for by taking our retirement in bankruptcy. Only 21 more years to go....UGH
  3. Thanks GTK for keeping this forum running. It is invaluable to some of us less mechanically inclined types...Greg
  4. I had my clutch and parking brake redone by tennessee clutch and supply also. They did a great job and was very reasonable...
  5. Starting to think about purchasing some wide white walls for my P-15. Is there another rim I can exchange for the 16" wheels that came with the car, so that I can install radial tires without tubes? Thanks Greg
  6. Hey guys: I have a pretty good leak from the rear of the transmission, and drips on the ebrake drum. My question is..Can I change that seal without taking the whole transmission out? Know it will be tough under the car, but really don't want to take the transmission all the way out if I can help it, as it was tough to get in. Greg...call me lazy
  7. Have seen Arken walking around the halls of AA before. Wish you guys were coming though Dallas...
  8. pf, which parts did you clean and lube exactly? The actual lever in the tranny or the linkage from the shifter. The manual seems vague to me, maybe just need to re-read. Would be nice to go backwards, but for now alot of cul-de-sacs for the u-turn...hehe
  9. I just bought a tank from tanksinc.com for my 47 P-15. It is really nice and works great. About $260 with shipping.
  10. Tried to move the gearshift selector forward with my hand while the wife shifted, but did not seem to work. The manual is kind of confusing on adjusting the linkage but I have been looking at the former posts on this website. Also, have new 12 volt gen and voltage regulator, but doesn't seem to be charging. At what speed should I see charging, or should it should a charge, just reving the motor. Hopefully little problems I can get worked out over the next few weeks, so I can drive her on the real roads. Thx Greg
  11. Fifteen months and a ton of help from all of you and she is drivin round the block. Have to start her off in second as first and rev don't work. Also due to bad bleed job, brakes are not too good. Thanks again for all the help...GREG Sorry can't figure out how to post video...Greg
  12. Thanks Jerry, but after I took it off i realized that besides the screen blocked, the tank had been patched on the bottom. So decided to bite the bullet and spend the $230 on a new tank..OUCH. Just keep buying another part I was not intendind on replacing, makes the wife happy...NOT!
  13. Can't get screen off so just going to order one from Tanks Inc. Thanks for the ideas...GF
  14. 47 P-15. That's what I am thinking I may have done. Guess I need to see if my tank has one to, and if so can I drill a hole in it...just another road block errr!
  15. No. Just poured the stuff in and swished it around.
  16. Figured out that not getting gas from the tank. I did one of those POR 15 treatments to the inside. Is it possible I blocked the outlet? Is there a way to clear it out? If not, where is a good place to get a new tank? Thanks as always...Greg
  17. Moss, Worked great, thanks for getting rid of the junk..
  18. She's running!!! Took the carb apart and put it back together and she runs. Have a bad oil leak in the oil pressure line, but will work an that.(maybe that is why the last guy had it capped:mad:) Thanks guys for all the ideas, now time to bleed the brakes and she if she will drive...
  19. Ya that is my next issue to work on. Trying to figure if it is a pump, carb, or both issue. Just seems to be one thing after another.
  20. Did you guys have to buy that light kit I sometimes see on EBAY, or did you just make one up? Was kind of expensive, for such a small light. Looks awesome...
  21. Aero, you were right. Bought a spark plug tester and rotated it 180* a second time. I got her to run a couple of times for about 5 seconds, using gas down the carb. I got so excited the first time, that I ran inside to get the wife, but it quit by the time I got back. Think I must have a carb issue as it only runs for a few seconds, with gas down the carb. Man, that was almost as great as hearing my daughter cry for the first time!!!
  22. Not yet. Flipped it 180, but still nothing. Put it back and getting close, I think. Bought a spark plug tester so going to try that to static time it. Another p-15 owner might stop by tomorrow to help. Not going to give up yet. Thanks for asking...Greg
  23. Will check that out guys. The coil is internally resisted, so think I should be okay. Thanks for the advice, will try it out in the morning...Thanks as always!
  24. Embarrassed to ask, but being this is my first time I have ever tried this, need a little advice. Have a 230 with new 12 volt system. New battery, starter, coil, plugs, solenoid, rebuilt carb (by me), rebuilt distributor (me again). Looks like I have fuel at the carb, spark when I pull a plug, oil pressure. Used a little starter fluid and pops a little. Tried some gas down the carb. Turns over nicely, just can not get her to catch. Is there something I am missing? Really excited to hear her run for the first time. About to take her to a pro to help me out, but thought I give it one more try. Thanks as always for any ideas...GREG
  25. Thanks Don, that's the way I have it. Man that is a beautiful engine. Off to the garage!
