  1. Nope Greg.......but.....the man that wanted to sell me (3) 49 Dodge Roadsters last year had a couple of them for sale too. It's a good thing the economy turned to $%#t or I might have at least one here now.
  2. Grass Valley, 1 hr north east of Sacramento. You ?
  3. All I gotta say is I hope it's not Crying Time if you find out the timing is correct.
  4. I buy all those parts at my local NAPA or Auto Zone. Just bring in the old parts for comparrison.
  5. OK Carl. It didn't work. I guess that last 1/4" was needed. Let me know how much for the cable and where to send the $, Thanks, Reg
  6. Harvey, Can you post a photo of the sweg or swedge that came with the cable? Thanks, Reg
  7. Jeff, So you can go faster at the same rpm you are turning now how about some 750/16's on the rear. I have some on one of mine and the diameter is 31.9".
  8. One of the reasons I like to keep down around 55 or 60 mph in my old cars and try and watch other drivers like a hawk.
  9. If you put some 750x16 tires on the rear it'll feel like you have another gear on the highway. Mine are 31.9" in diameter. What's the diameter of your 650's ?
  10. Looks like a fully optioned show winner Jeff ! Beautiful job.
  11. Thanks much for the offer Carl. I'm going to put mine back together with the missing end and see if it works anyway. I'll let ya know how it turns out.
  12. Yes....that's the one. The engine is from either a 51 or 52 Dodge car and has 230 cubes.
  13. Thanks Ed and Harvey, Where would a guy get a tool to swedge the end square. I tried squaring the end in my vice once and that made a mess. I found the problem this time finally. I kept pulling this cable out at the speedo end and thought everything looked fine so I would put it back in. Changed the speedo a couple of times and of course that didn't work. So......the last little bit at the drive gear end broke and hid from me in the drive gear tube. Ya little SOB ! GOTCHA !!!!
  14. The 81st look is the charm ! Let me know if this is enough info. Top of fender is level with the cab floor. Radiator is about 90 degrees to the floor and top of fender. Mine leans in towards the firewall about 2 degrees. OOPS
  15. The headlights on this truck were like yours. The blackened Bulls Eye light worked and the nice silvery one didn't.
  16. Anybody here have a speedo cable they want to sell for my 52 1/2 ton/4 speed. Either the whole thing or just the inner cable will do. I know I could have an inner cable made but the nearest shop is 50 miles from here since the local shop owner retired.
  17. I have a rebuilt one for sale. PM me if interested.
  18. Fiberglass fenders and running boards here. http://bebops-glassworks.com/site/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=159:4853-dodge-truck-parts&catid=35:fenders&Itemid=60
  19. Look what this 52 1/2 ton was bid up to. A classic case of never getting the $ back that you put into a restoration of a fairly common vehicle. It is a beauty though. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130328845344&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
  20. The trucks with wide whites are apparently worth much more than the ones without. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1950-Dodge-B-2B-Truck-Original_W0QQitemZ320423196038QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item4a9ab5f586&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245#v4-35
  21. Glad they made it there OK John. Now....try and stay under 60 mph on those hair pin turns.
  22. Neither way is my cup of tea but .....Hey.....maybe wide whites on the spoked rims. There isn't a happy face symbol for someone gagging so this will have to do
  23. You are right Robert. It really is too complete to part out. Maybe the engine will free up with some mystery tonic down each plug hole.
  24. Nope. I got the strips on the bay. I've owned the wagon for around 15 years now. We use to use it as our daily driver until we got sick of being snowed in and bought a Durango 4 x 4.
  25. All I've managed to find for the long stainless strip are 2 fairly long strips from a 4 door wagon. I'm going to have to have them welded together to make one long strip. The tailgate on the Sweptside measures 55" overall at the bottom just like the D100 stepside trucks of the same era so that parts easy. It's too bad they ( The SEG) didn't take the time to make a wagon tailgate fit the opening. The tops of the fins on the Sweptside measure 69" apart while the wagon fins measure 70 1/2" apart.
