  1. I think "all is well" is an understatement. Looks great! How about more details on installation and any modifications to the garage you had to make. How much did you sell your creeper for ?
  2. Fred, the poster collects old snapshots and this was in a batch from a person in Winnipeg, so it's likely that is the location. There is another interesting photo likely taken in Winnipeg of a dignitary waving from the back of a train on a bridge. Is this a Winnipeg bridge you recognize? I wonder who the VIP is? http://www.flickr.com/photos/sherlock77/1516150314/in/set-1142248/
  3. I have changed alot on my car, a Mopar. I intend to change a little more on my Mopar. I take great exeption to being called a stupid butcher. This board is VERY tolerant of everyones take on modifying or not, but we DO NOT flame or insult each other because we choose to modify a Mopar. Or any other car/truck.
  4. Neat pic of Dodge and snow from back in the day. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sherlock77/7453858/in/set-1142248/
  5. This car has been "featured" on the forum before on a previous for sale on the 'bay. I think it has been painted since then. Still not a bad fun car.
  6. I guess I don't get it. Don't like the rods 'cause they are all the same, but like the stock cars because....they are all the same????? I just like the old cars. Get 'em running and get 'em on the road however you like 'em. Everyone has their own reason for having an old car. While I may not do to my car what you have done to your car, I still respect the fact that the old car has a new lease on life. They haven't been stock since they left the showroom floor, and "restored" has completely lost all meaning. They have to make the owner smile. Others are free to like 'em or not.
  7. Why, yes Norm, I have No, I didn't just paint over them, one or two were hurled across the garage while being wire wheeled:eek:
  8. Well, Eric, that's close. His name is Stephen Harper:D
  9. And a Happy Thanksgiving to you all as well. Looking forward to the turkey and the get together with family and friends. Looks like the weather is more than co-operating...summerlike weather here today, more tomorrow. I think the rye and coke is a great idea...maybe one day early I earned it today, gutted the motorhome onehanded...great fun!! And you can see what a beautiful October day it is.
  10. Congrats on the ink, Bob!!! You guys look like you're having way too much fun. Carry on!!!!!
  11. That Suburban looks like they just dragged it out of the swamp. Looks great. Thanks, Don.
  12. James, how about putting the grass sprinkler underneath in a few different spots and just let it go for half an hour in each spot?
  13. Money is over rated, Norm!!! Spend it and have some fun. You can't have any fun with a mitt full o' money unless you buy something with it. Otherwise it's just green and smelly boring paper. If you do buy something else, you better not be a stranger around here.
  14. I like it, but like I've said, it's your car, so get it the way you want it so it puts a grin on your face when you look at it. THEN it's just right. I know what you mean about these suppliers not having items in stock and not saying anything. It's not that I mind them not having it in stock...I mean there's not likely to be a sudden rush on 50 yr old Mopar parts. But they operate like they have a bunch on the shelf and ready to ship. Just tell me the way it is up front.
  15. No PM either. Use psatchwill (at) hotmail.com
  16. nothing yet...
  17. Takes alot of guts to get airborne with only wood fabric and glue under your butt. Glad he was able to walk away from it and try it again someday.
  18. We did a trade for a wheel I had that he wanted that didn't need restoration. For a current price, best to contact Tom. Top quality work and, well, you get what you pay for.
  19. Mine was just a wire as well. Tom Fonte did mine a couple of years ago. He did a great job. biker99usa@yahoo.com Before After
  20. Article on our news last week said Canadians outnumber Americans at A Great Falls car dealer. How about y'all come on up here. Soon there will be good skiing, but not right to the igloo door.
  21. They would be a standard in stock item at most spring shops. Just have the measurements handy. No need to pay the rare parts premium. Ask for the size, not the application. When you ask for 48 Plymouth parts their eyes glaze over, but if you ask for such and such size, the say "ya, just a minute"
  22. As a diabetic, I've been caught short enough times that even on a short trip, I have my little emergency kit with me. Funny thing, since I've been carrying a kit (about 10 years) I haven't needed it.
  23. I haven't driven mine a foot. Haven't sat in it while it was moving. But I DID pay $40 bucks to have it towed 3 blocks!!!! Next Year
  24. "I want to be just like you when I'm your age, livin' large." EXACTLY!!! Well put, Pete! At 71, James is choosing between repairing the flattie ONE MORE TIME, or dropping in a SBC. Both are alot of work. Nowhere do I see sitting on the porch in a rocking chair as one of the choices. Not that I see 71 as old, but I'm only 53 and laying on the hard concrete ain't as much fun as it once was. I admire anyone rebuilding and swapping engines at 71+ James, I don't care if you steal Norm's Yugo engine and drop it in, I support whatever you decide. James, I wish I was close by so I could sit in your garage drinking your beer watching...oopps...helping
  25. Greg, do one of those "faux patina" jobs popular now to make it look like it just got dragged out of the barn complete with a faded sign on the door.
