I did that once on a Honda Civic I put radials on the front and bias plys on the rear and every time I turned a corner it felt like the rear wanted to pass the front.

Yes, the car show is always on the second full weekend of August. Next year it will be August 8-9-&10th. To enter the show you must send them a self addressed envelope on the 2nd of Jan 08 and they will send you the entry form in Feb, fill it out and send it in the day after you receive it as there are only 495 parking spaces and they sell out every year.

Here is a Stude Pick-up that was at the show here at Big Bear Lake. The owner called it RUDESTUDE. He said that his dad used to have Stude pick-ups all over the old farm and this was the last one left, so he brought it home for a hot rod. He won a top 20 also.

I'm setting here in our time share watching the boats on Big Bear Lake. There were 3 P-15's entered in the show this weekend, a 49 P-15 won a top 20 award.
He has duel carbs, duel exaust and a aluminum head. All of his window moldings, the stering colum and his dash are crome. (looked real nice) I told him about this forum and he said that he would come and visit when he gets home. The first photo is a 47 with a Hemi then the othe 3 are the 49 P-15.

We not only have the Hantavirus to worry about but here in the south/west we have Valley Fever. Our son has had 1/2 of a lung removed due to Valley Fever. Now he has to go to the hospital every 6 months so they can check and clean out his lungs.

Local car clubs can be fun, I belong to "Just Cruisin' 4 Fun" Car Club here in Barstow. We put on 2 shows a year, our annual show in April and our Toys 4 Tots in November. When we go to car shows we travel togeather and arrive as a club so we can park togeather. We have all kinds of cars in the club from a 31 Ford T-pickup to a new Mustang.

I like to go to car shows and enter my cars. I don't care about winning trophies but I do like the look on the faces of the spectators as they look at the cars. Sorry, I won't be able to make the show in Whittier, but the show schedule is full at this time. We will be at the car show in Big Bear Lake, Ca on the 11th and the show in Wrightwood, Ca on the 18th of Aug. Oh what a way to start my retirement, 9 more days.
