As anyone here tried these on their car? Are they much brighter and would they draw to many amps? The one company I checked with are asking $85.00 a pair. Thanks, Eric
Yea, I imagine he paid a fair price for it and it is restored not just another "someday" project. I used to watch "Boyd's show" maybe it was just TV but he seemd like a real jerk. I don't know if they paid overtime to his workers but I wouldn't spend a day with him. I also like my cars to be pretty close to "original" or atleast not altered so much that someone else couldn't undo what I did. To each their own. But when you see some truly rare cars chopped up and they have a sbc dropped in them, it seems a shame. Eric
I hope they don't wipe one bit of dust off of it. Reminds me of the show "Rides" when Jay Leno bought the D1927 Duesenberg and got it going bought showed how the Hollywood version would hvae been, Eric
Bob, Is it difficult to change the upper hose? On my 48 it is very short and made of the older red rubber? The others have been replaced. There doesn't appear to have much room between the radiator and the inlet. Eric
James it sounds a bit like the AM transmiters that people use to broadcast to their home radios. Many collectors of old radios like to control the music that is comong out of their 24 tube 3 ton Scott radio. Thanks, Eric
James, in another post it was mentioned that you have a satelite radio in your car. How briefly, did you get that to work? The Sirius Radio That I have transmits an FM signal. Did you convert one to transmit AM? And are you running 12 volts? Thanks, Eric
Sounds like you are making good headway. What did you mean by "converted to dual then back to original"? You completely changed back to riginal? If so was there a problem? Thanks, Eric
The first new car my folks bought was a 64 Malibu Wagon ,Red, three seats no A/C but my Mom ordered a 3 speed on the column. It sure was roomier than the Falcon that all seven of squeezed into. Dad had a friend who owned Sioux Tool and they wanted a new vehicle to spray a clear coat on that was being tested for their tools. The car was perfect when they traded it in on a new 70 Malibu wagon with A/C. The new one was a real lemon always something going wrong. Eric
"The Salt of the earth" If there is anything you want to know about salt I reccomend Mark Kurlansky's book, "Salt; a World History". When you get done with that his book "Cod" is good too.
Road Salt might be our enemy but where would be without it? Eric
I was watching a car posted on Ebay. I looked at the seller's feedback and one of the positives he had was for the very same car he presently had listed. When I asked him about it he spun some story that made no sense. Who would buy a car, leave positive the same day and not purchase the car? Like I said the story was not only not believeable, it was down right stupid. This being said. I wouldn't buy a car from Ebay when the seller does nothing but sell cars. You can report these people but Ebay really doesn't care about anything but their cut. Eric
