  1. I have a bit of a fetish for these things. I seem to collect them. I really like the way they look. I would have 10 on mine if it didn't look too wierd. Just thought I would share. BTW...mine was directly attached to the carb when I bought the car. BloodyKnuckles
  2. I'll be there. I hope it's done enough. BloodyKnuckles
  3. Thanks for all the positive replies. I'm still not sure wether or not I'm using this stainless but we just did a quickie to see how it looks. I have a good friend who can fix, cut, weld and polish stainless very well so any adjustments are do-able. We'll see! BloodyKnuckles BTW...Don, You suck!!!
  4. Just an update. Brent and I toyed with some '51 Buick trim I had laying around; He also patched a small hole in the floor that turned out incredible. I have a really cool set of turn signal pods that I'm using as taillights. We are filling the original taillight location and mounting the pods to the bumper. It should turn out pretty cool. He started on the garnish molding and should have it completed real soon. He spray bombed the bare metal to see how it looks one color. Just thought I would share. BloodyKnuckles
  5. Consider checking with Northern Tool if you have one local or online. They were discontinuing a Hobart 175 to make way for the 180. Included was mask, gloves, regulator and welder. If I remember right it was $475 which was a steal as compared to $600. Check with local welding supply stores to see what deals are going on because usually they have incredible service as opposed to the Home Depots and Lowes. Also note that the HDs and Lowes sell welders that are their grade not welding supplers grade so you get what you pay for. Hope this info helps. BloodyKnuckles
  6. Super nice!! BloodyKnuckles
  7. A few updated pics; I also ordered the front and rear window rubber and all the window channel fuzzies from a company called "Weatherstrip Special". He had everything I needed and also cross referenced with Chevy because they use the same size and amount as mine but they have a chrome bead which I like...also it was cheaper by a total of $60. Ed was great to work with. I will keep you posted. BloodyKnuckles
  8. Thanks for all the kind words. I more than appreciate it. BloodyKnuckles
  9. Thanks for bringing this here. I know alot of you know me and my car. I'm a true mopar fanatic. I respect these cars but as you may know I'm not a restorer. With that being said my goal with this chop was to bring the roofline into proportion with the rest of the car and think we have succeeded. There will be plenty of updates on the H.A.M.B. if you are so inclined to check in but I won't waste the bandwidth here. BTW..I love this site and the cars all of you own. What I am doing is putting Plymouths into the eyes of the masses of GM and Ford guys who think of these cars as "ugly ducklings". Boy, They can't be more wrong! BloodyKnuckles
  10. Smitty's and cut-outs...love them both. BloodyKnuckles
  11. One more for you guys. BloodyKnuckles
  12. Brendan, Thank you for noticing. My wife was the lovely blonde in her DeSoto. She was more than pleased. It was a well written article. I was a bit surprised that it was more about our relationship than the cars but he was dead on. BloodyKnuckles
  13. Thanks alot guys. I figured you would appreciate it. I had an absolute blast. I had many people comment on the way that it sounds. People were telling me they could here mine, while we were doing the track cruise, over everyone else. I opened alot of eyes to the sights and sounds of a Plymouth Flat-6. Thanks again, BloodyKnuckles
  14. Here I am on the course Saturday in Charlotte. I couldn't get enough of it. My lake pipes are groung flat from sliding the car around the corners. My best time was a 13.4 which wasn't far from the 11.5 the $100,000, vendor sponsored cars were doing. I think it's great that GoodGuys allows us to enjoy our cars, wether it be the autocross or racing around the track, legally and for a very fair entry fee! I had a killer time! Listen to that Split Flat-6 screaming. http://s136.photobucket.com/albums/q184/olchebby/?action=view&current=DSCN4933.flv BloodyKnuckles
  15. Charlotte, NC to Las Vegas and back, just over 5000 miles round trip. BloodyKnuckles
  16. Big D, Looks good! I would like to see how you mounted the bags and what size bags you are using. Keep up the good work. BloodyKnuckles
  17. Thanks guys. Don, Heather's an alchoholic (He,he..) and she doesn't remember talking about a club. Maybe you can enlighten her? BTW.. my car's pretty primative isn't it? BloodyKnuckles
  18. I attended the POC in Concord. Living 8 miles away I showed up every night from Tuesday night on. Got to meet many non-P15-D24's that were a wealth of fun and information. Friday I was welcomed to the "tailgate" party and had a wonderful time. Saturday I truely enjoyed the show. I attend events that usually cater to Traditional Kustoms and Hot Rods and I must say that it was refreshing seeing stock or slightly modified cars in their close to original state. They are absolutely beautiful! I have been following this board for a good while and have spoke with and met many woderful people. I have also enjoyed the sense of commaderie among the members. I will be around for a while longer. Thanks again, Ron
  19. I'm sorry It's taken me sooo long to get back with you but here are a few of the sideways mounted carb linkage pics; Hope this helps! BloodyKnuckles
  20. You know it!!
  21. This guy needs to be banned from this and every other site!!! He's a joke!! Just kidding man!! Dave is the real deal. He's a great guy with an awsome project that he better have done before the 4th of August!! Glad you found this site. It is an awsome source of info and a bunch of great guys. You need to make the Plymouth Meet here in Concord, NC. We'll talk soon. Keep plugging along, man! BloodyKnuckles
  22. A guick tip on making fabrication of metal items more appealing to the eye; radius or round each corner it will make a normal piece of angle iron look like a factory made piece. Btw..I think you have done a fine job. Good Luck. BloodyKnuckles
  23. Put me in line for one. BloodyKnuckles
  24. Mine is in the build up stage. It is what I concider to be a hot rod kustom. Trying to keep it 50's traditional (minus the spikes..). BloodyKnuckles
