  1. Blessings to you all and a huge THANK YOU to all those who have served our country in the armed services. Please display your flags proudly and take a moment to reflect on all that we have because of all that they did. GOD BLESS AMERICA Charlie Olson US Army, 1965 - 1967
  2. Seaplym is Neil Riddle, up in Seattle. He always has ads in the classifieds of the Plymouth Bulletin, the bi-monthly magazine of the POC.
  3. Hi Fireball, I went on ebay and found a very cool 1950 Mercury with front and back bumpers, which is what I also think you have on the front. Here is a tiny url for pics of the 1950 Merc: http://tiny.cc/hbck0
  4. Finally, a P15 has arrived in the Low Rider world. http://tiny.cc/5lxaa That 1948 P15 Convertible is now @ $21,100
  5. Check with Neil Riddle, in the POC Bulletin
  6. I bet the gear shift handle is in the neutral position, hidden by the right yoke of the steering wheel. There is currently a 1948 Convertible at $14,667, with 6 days left. http://tiny.cc/n18hv
  7. Yes, pictures from the SIF are better than being on the grounds of the SOL; plus you get to meet some great people, if you present a friendly, warm attitude first, guaranteed!!!
  8. Robert, no matter what else you do in NYC, please ride on the Staten Island Ferry and go right by the Statue of Liberty. It is as thrilling as anything else patriotic to see, in our great country. Charlie, hot footing it in Hellazona
  9. Thanks for the back roads photos. Must be nice to have a cowl vent that actually works. That is my next project, as I have acquired two cowl vent mechanisms. The one I don't use, I am selling in the parts page. Charlie, hot footing it in Hellazona
  10. Yep! Having the wood sides on PLYWOOD is great tree Karma. Whenever I get a little paint blemish, I just do a little fine paper sanding, get out the rattle can and PLYWOOD is back in business
  11. Hi, I didn't make the video, I found it on YouTube, but I was delighted to post it here on P15D24. It was made by a man named Jeff Rucker. GET YOUR KICKS...................
  12. Hi Everybody, each year, for the past four years, this gentleman, and his family, have driven his Plymouth four sedan on the annual route 66 fun run and created a youtube presentation. Look for PLYWOOD @ 4:57. Enjoy!! MORE PICS FROM FUN RUN 2010: http://rides.webshots.com/album/577575988PCKtes?start=0 Charlie, with a new door latch on PLYWOOD's front right passenger door. 13. Well BobT did mention Henry Ford's use of soy beans in his products. The pigs must have thought they were white corn. The GP and the pigs are long gone, but I shall ask Miss Mary if her Father knows why the pigs ate the trim covers.
  14. My 1946 Plymouth PLYWOOD Phantom Woodie was created by a man who grew the trees on his own land to fabricate this fun car. I don't really care about horticulture, but I would like to tease you into considering a Phantom Woodie of your own, since you wouldn't be attaching the wood to a show car. Charlie in Plymazona
  15. You are mos twelcome. I'll even let you use PLYWOOD for a model, should you decide to make your P15 a Phantom Woodie. That is another subtle hint. Charlie in Plymazona
  16. Hey Seth, I am 66, too, just did the Route 66 Fun Run this year. On the weekend of September 24 - 26, 2010, there are several nice events in some of the towns on Route 66, in Northern Arizona. Go to desertcruisers.com and see what all is happening in the seven South West states during the times you are stateside. So, what kind of trees do you have in SA? (hint, hint) Charlie in Plymazona
  17. A super big SHOUT OUT to Chance Moore, wayfarerstranger here on P15-D24, for contacting me via email, offering a set of metal white trim rings for a very reasonable price, for Mary's FAMTREE 1947 Plymouth Woodie SW. ATTA BOY!!! BTW, Chance also owns a Plymouth SW. Charlie in Plymazona
  18. Lanny Knutson, huh? That is totally great, a Plymouth Centric Nuptuals. I just sent Lanny a set of photos of PLYWOOD on this year's annual Route 66 Fun Run, in case he might want to use any of them for The Plymouth Bulletin.
  19. This visual change reminds me of the sexy librarian with black horn rim glasses who puts on a pair of bright silver glasses for an exciting night out on the town!!!!! Good job! Charlie in Plymazona
  20. HHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, just wondering what type of trees grow where you live in SA. That is a hint, by the way. Welcome aboard!!!! Charlie in AZ driving that PLYWOOD
  21. Atta Boy!!! Marrying an "old car" loving woman is my version of sanity. Congratulations!!! Maybe I can meet you both, in June. I am planning on coming to this year's "Back to the Fifties" car show at the fairgrounds. I'll be staying in Stillwater or Apple Valley; depends on which cousins wins the fight to have me stay at the losing cousins house. Charlie in Plymazona
  22. Hi, I have been emailing a gal member of the National Woodie Club, who has an original 1947 Plymouth Woodie, that her GP bought brand new, in Iowa. One day. a long time ago, he drove the Woodie out to a farm and parked in the yard behind a house. When he came back out, he discovered that the lose running pigs had eaten the white wheel cover rings off of the wheels of the car. The lady just heard this story when she asked her 92 year old father, if he thought they should put white wall tires on the car and he said "no" because it came with blackwalls and the white wheel rim covers. That is why I am posting this saga. Where can these nice people obtain a set of the white plastic wheel rim covers. This picture is of the gal and the original burgundy paint 1947 Woodie. 23. Hi, yes it is Mitey Mouse. Just cut and paste in the subject line, above, and it will pop up. I sure do like the mini me PLYWOOD a Woodie car model maker made for me, from photos of PLYWOOD and one of Mitey Mouse's resin models.
  24. There is now another resin P15 four door resin model on the Bay. This is the same seller that I bought my kit from to make a PLYWOOD Woodie model. I have no involvement with this seller, just letting you all know.
