  1. Thanks, Bill. I'll see what I can come up with first, but it's good to know that there is someone who can do it.
  2. No...where's Mitchell's? Link? BTW...I have that pic of the NOS speedometer from close up, showing the colored prisim, if you still want me to send it to you. It's not the clearest, but you can make the colors out still.
  3. Don't know what it's called, but it connects the two upper middle grille pieces together. Anyway, mine is wrinkled and tweeked and the polisher told me it would be better to find another one in better shape. Email me if you might have one to sell and we'll go from there. Thanks! Darin
  4. Dwight- The email for First Class Parts is: FCP@dejazzd.com

  6. Norm...my kick panels come out and go right back in pretty easy. I think he says 1946-54 because the shape probably didn't change during that time, I would assume. Kind of a one size fits all. The ones I have in there now are made of thin pressboard and pretty sure aren't the originals. I'm going to have all new panels cut, now that I have them out.
  7. Looks nice, David. Tell your student that he has some good art skills and also good taste in cars. I noticed that many of the kids today like our cars. My students can't wait til I'm done and ask me whan I'll take the car to school. I'll take it when I don't have to park it there, I tell them...LOL!
  8. I think I located the guy. He has some kick panels on there now for 46-54 Plymouths. If he doesn't answer back, I'll just keep emailing him till he does. I'm very persistant...he he he! I hate when someone holds a deck of cards and doesn't want to deal out any of them.
  9. Is he the guy that always sells the kick panels on there...the gray ones?
  10. I remember sometime back, possibly on the old forum, that someone had mentioned a place where they make reproduction package trays for the P15 cars. Does anyone here know who sells them? Mine is crumbling like a cookie.
  11. It looks like it might have to be that way. Is there anything that is new that looks close to that stuff?
  12. I don't know many hogs that go to barber shops.
  13. Thanks, Norm. I went ahead and took it out carefully by hand, (probably while you were typing your message) and though it didn't kink, it tweaked some. So I'm going to have to get it straightened. If not, do you or anyone else know where there's a place that sells new stainless moulding for these windshields?
  14. Ready to take the car in today for paint, but at a standstill here trying to remove the stainless moulding from the windshield, and my manual doesn't explain how. It just tells you to remove it. I tried to pry it a little, but I'm afraid of kinking it. What's the proceedure here? Hopefully someone can answer this ASAP. Thanks!
  15. Yeah...my stearing wheel and column were brown, too, but since I don't have the woodgrained dash and trim anymore, the brown didn't go with the gray. Gray seemed to be a very common color inside of many late-40's and early-50's cars, from what I have seen. Even if I could afford the woodgraining, I would still stick to the painted dash and trim because it gives it a cleaner look, in my opinion.
  16. Thanks, Bob...just wanted to be sure.
  17. Brendan....the dash was painted the color the exterior of the car originally was, which was Airwing Gray. I wanted sort of a two-tone effect between the dash and steering wheel and column. So I painted it a darker gray, but it needs to be repainted because I painted it on a cold, slight windy day and the paint stayed tacky. I first used an etching primer on the column, shift and wheel after sanding them slightly. Then, I used dark gray Rustoleum. It seemed to go on real nice, but I really need to do again, but on a warm, dry day so that it can dry better and quicker.
  18. Darn...he doesn't have gray.
  19. Thanks guys....the pics and instructions will help a lot. I think I may need to get a new gas pedal for the car that is hopefully like the original because the holes on the bottom of it or pretty worn. Any places that might carry it besides Bernbaum?
  20. Thanks, Frank and Norm. How do I get a hold of Bill Hirsh? Man, I didn't realize how many former hippies we had leftover from the 60's and early-70's on here. Far out!
  21. Are the back and front guards the same on the P15?
  22. Dave...the bows are staying in. I remove one at a time as I scrub and then replace it before removing the next one. I have been able to find some good samples of the old headliner to send to a couple headliner companies to match as I was tearing it out. EZboy Interiors has the right shade of gray, but wrong type of material. I need the napped cotton. Where again did you get your headliner from? Was it from that place in L.A.?
  23. Norm...they are going to do all the prep and needed body work. There is a five-year guarantee for fading, cracking, etc,. I will mask off a lot of the places on the dash because I don't want overspray on it, since it's already painted and restored.
  24. Jon...I have a friend who is a welder that probably won't charge me much. I do need to supply the heavier sheet metal for him, though. The sheet metal with rivets does cover the holes, but doesn't stop the rust from spreading from the already cancerous area.
