  1. Good to know, thanks
  2. I think they called that the SOS move, for slide over sweetheart. *Grin*
  3. Found this on epay while looking for a complete windshield regulator assembly for my 38. As my assembly doesn’t look to be repairable. Notice the cracked housing and bailing wire “fix”. First pic. these things must be made from unattainium. They want all of $500 for the complete assembly and $80ish for the ss crank out tongue. If you’re interested search for epay item 274413894324 2nd pic.
  4. My truck was built in LA, and lived most of its life in Calif, until I bought it.
  5. Interesting about the USA version badge, as it turns out. I have one in my RD10.
  6. I’m looking for any information on the tread patterns stamped into the running boards for 38 dodge pickups. my running board pattern looks like the pic. Ideally I’d like to patch my rusty running boards but am lacking patch material with appropriate pattern. Wonder how common this pattern is? Any ideas on how to recreate said pattern?
  7. Going through the box of parts that came with my 38. I find this tag, which clearly doesn’t go with my RD-10 My truck came out of SoCal if that matters. I realize that the chances of finding the truck it belongs to is slim to none. So should I just pitch it? Thoughts?

  9. Excellent thanks.
  10. I’m trying to figure out how the interior panels fit around the rear and corner windows of the cab. where the panels tuck in, where they the overlap, how they’re attached... While there are pics of interiors on the net, they seem to be of either the dash or with the door open showing the seat and the opposing door panel. Occasionally there is a partial glimpse of a corner window.. Anyone got a few moments to post a pic or two? thanks in advance..
  11. I found the oval head bumper bolts on epay. Bought some for my 38 bumper. They might work for you if that’s what you’re looking for. search for item # 283442608450
  12. Very cool project. I have a 38 RD that I’m planning on something similar for. I'm interested in what you plan on doing to the frame to support the, I’m guessing 400ish hp, Hemi engine. Are you going to use the frame as is? Box the whole frame? Or maybe just box the front half?
  13. This clever little prism solves the bending down to look up at the traffic light. Can be found on epay for about $20. That’s where I got the one I use. It works about 70% of the time for me, without my adjusting my viewing angle from the seat. Remember the traffic light used to hang in the center of the intersection, now a days there 2 or more lights hung over the lane across the intersection. So depending on that set back, you may or may not see the light in this prism.
  14. Both widow regulators no longer work and it seems they were replaced at least once before. I believe the post the window crank attached to should be square, not splined. I’m hoping someone has pictures of the proper ones or maybe part numbers that I can then use as a reference. thanks in advance. Steve
  15. I picked the green tint over the grey or clear options. And I agree about DOT label
  16. I ordered the quarter glass from The bob’s link above. Mostly because I was curious and it’s only money, you can’t take it with you and you can always get more. see pics, the new glass has red tape on it. pic1 new on top old on bottom pic2 comparing curve new on the inside of the old pic3 same as 2 but new is on the outside of the old pic4 you can see it’s a shade thicker, no I didn’t measure it. pic5 the dot label
  17. I just started reading this thread. Looked at the first set of pics. Is a fold away step mounted on the tailgate?
  18. Thanks for the link old cwo. Thanks Keven for hooking me up with a pair of quarter windows. The pic in the ad looks more like a long chevy window than the short dodge version. But it may just be a representation pic, not a pic of the actual dodge window. In any case, I dropped them an email I’m awaiting their response.
  19. Can’t save them all. Wondering if it has the 2 speed rear end?
  20. Does anyone have a link to a manufacturer that is making new quarter window glass? You know the curved corner window glass in custom cabs like the one pictured. As an alternative is anyone making Lexan replacements? Or are we all scrambling for replacements from an ever shrinking pool of 60+ year old replacements? I suspect the answer is no, no and yes in that order. Maybe I’ll stumble into a horde of NOS quarter window stock. But I think my chances of that are less than winning a lottery. I’ve probably committed a egregious error by posting this same question in another form, please forgive the laps in decorum.

  22. I had the opportunity to visit a full custom fabrication shop and this was under construction. As stated above, blocked at ride height and the angled front top A arm for anti dive
  23. ? light turns on! The graphic was the key. Thank you.
  24. Thanks for the info and the encouragement.
