D-24 air bags at SRN Louisville

Found that this d-24 cc in the swap meet at the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville this past weekend. It had air bags on the front, and I'm not talking the new kind. Anyone know anything about them?

When I drove through Louisville last Wednesday there were street rods all over the freeway. Must have been a really big show.

Those are original "Air-Lifts". You're supposed use the in the rear for load levelers, and you can inflate them unequally to level a car or help prevent wheel hop.
